I would say both are good ideas. The Buff videos are my personal fave but it never hurts to have more than one big series on a chanel for people to enjoy. Just need to find a rythem that works for you when it comes to making them.

also yeah I do love to see homebrew videos. I often try making... silly homebrew for myself, trying to transform a class into like. its opposite intended playstyle. Like make a rogue which is a close quarters brawler. It's a whimsical past time. I think you have great taste when it comes to making homebrew, I would love to hear more of these ideas. Man i love this idea but just 3 things i wanna add to this and it will be perfect. 1. Give spidey more webs. To put my idea simply its just a mini eldritch blast but it deals 1d8 in bludeoning damage 2. Give spidey advantage on perception and insight checks and maybe dex saves. 3.Give him some kinda variety on webs he can shoot. Kinda like battle master manuevers. But please more spiderman character builds.

Well this is definitely the strongest monk subclass, and it’s not even close. This is where I want martials to be, mimicking specific niches that spellcasters are generalists in. The focus on movement and enemy restraint is amazing and would be a great help to any party, adding more to the monk than just damage and helping it stand out from the other martial offerings. I would play this today, and that’s not something I’ve ever said about a monk. Well done

Spider-Man's fighting style is literally called "way of the Spider" it was meant to be.

The Way of the Spider home brew I made. Walk Crawler You can move across walls and make great leaps just like spiders can. Starting at 3rd level, you have a climbing speed equal to your walking speed. In addition, you can move up, down, and across vertical surfaces and upside down along ceilings. Your jump distance is also the same as your walking speed. At 6th level, you ignore difficult terrain caused by spider webs. Spider Sense You have a quasi clairvoyant awareness of your surroundings and can react to danger far more easily than before. At 3rd level, you gain 30 ft blind sight and you no longer need to use a ki point to activate Patient Defense. At 11th level, your practice with your Spider Sense has honed it, enhancing what it can do. Your blind sight range increases to 60 ft, you can act normally during surprise rounds, and you can add your wisdom modifier to your initiative rolls. Web Slinger At 6th level, you have learned to transform your ki into silk like threads similar to that of spider webs. The silk is produced from your wrists near the palm of your hands. The properties of the silk are: it lasts for 1 hour or until destroyed, it is twice as strong as hemp rope, it can be cut, and it is flammable. If it is lit on fire, it will burn will one round (5ft per round) and creatures in contact with the burning web take fire damage equal to 2x your Martial Arts die. You can only produce ki silk from a free hand. You can use your ki silk in the following ways: - Silk Line: As a bonus action you can expend 1 ki point to create a silk rope that can be up to 100 ft in length. At the creation of the rope, you can to choose attach the ends to a solid surface, object, or item. The attachment site is twice as strong as the attachment of a steel grappling hook. You are also able to attach one end of the rope to a location that is 60 ft away from you. - Web Shot: You fire a dense wad of silk that hits with the same force as your fists. When you take the attack action, you can change your unarmed strikes into ranged attacks by spending 1 ki point per attack. The range is 60 ft, Dexterity is used for the attack roll, and each shot deals magic bludgeoning damage equal to your martial arts die. This can be used a long with Flurry of Blows. After a shot hits your target, flip a coin to see if the wad of silk sticks to the target. Heads they stick. Tails they bounce to a random location. - Web Snare: You unleash a stream of silk that cocoons your target. As an action, you can spend 3 ki points to have a medium sized creature or smaller that you can see within 30 ft of you make a Dexterity saving throw against your ki save DC. On a fail, the creature is restrained until the web disappears, they are cut free, succeed a Strength check to break themselves free, or the web is destroyed. On a success, the ground around the creature becomes a 5 ft square of difficult terrain. A creature of large size can be targeted if 6 ki points are spent with the size of the difficult terrain created on a success becoming a 10 ft square instead. - Web Bomb: You launch a massive ball of silk that explodes into a large web at your desired location. As an action, you can spend 5 ki points to cast the Web spell with your ki save DC being used for the saving throws. The web is made of your ki silk, so you don’t need to concentrate on maintaining the spell with the web disappearing only upon the normal duration of your web or if it is destroyed by fire (see above for ki silk fire rules). - Elemental Web Shot: (Level 15 required) You can fire off ignited or electrified web shots. This functions exactly like the normal web shot with the exception that the shots now can deal fire or lightning damage. Shots that deal fire damage can ignite flammable objects or items not being worn or carried. While, creatures hit by the shots that deal lightning damage have disadvantage on their next attack roll until the end of their next turn. The ki silk used for these shots disappears shortly after impact. - Venom Web Bomb: (Level 15 required) You infuse your Web Bomb with your ki venom. As an action, you can spend 7 ki points to cast a special Web spell. Creatures that fail the saving throws when coming into contact with this web are poisoned by your venomous ki. As long as the creature stays in contact with this web they stay poisoned. After contact is broken, the creature is than poisoned for 1 minute. See Venomous ki feature for rules. The added ki venom destabilize the web’s integrity causing the web created by this silk option to only last 10 minutes or until destroyed. Venomous Ki Spiders have venom and you can now recreate venom with your ki. Starting at 11th level, creatures that fail the saving throw against your Stunning Strike are also poisoned for one minute. Constructs and undead get to make a separate constitution saving throw against this effect. You can also choose to have your unarmed strikes deal an additional 1d8 poison damage. Additionally, if a creature hits you with a bite or ability score draining attack, you can use your reaction to spend 2 ki points to turn your blood and life force poisonous until the start of your turn. The creature that hit you with one of those attacks must make a constitution saving throw against your ki save DC. On a fail, the creature takes 2d8 poison damage and is poisoned for one minute. On a success, the creature takes 1d8 poison damage and is not poisoned. The poison created by this feature is special since it is life force being used to poison another creature’s life force. This means it ignores immunity to the poisoned condition, bypasses poison damage resistance, and causes creatures with poison damage immunity to take half of the poison damage dealt. You are immune to the effects of your own poisonous ki. Spider Strength You have unlocked the proportional strength of a spider, causing you to be stronger than you look. Starting at 17th level, you strength modifier is increases by 2. Base Monk Changes Improved Ki Empowered Strikes At 15th level, your unarmed strikes count as magical adamantine for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to non-magical/non-Adamantine attacks and damage. Perfect Self At 20th level, when you roll initiative you regain ki points equal to your wisdom modifier, you can not exceed your max amount of total ki points in this way. You also gain resistance to radiant and necrotic damage. If you already have one or both of these resistances that are not temporary or can be removed (like the benefit of a Ring of Resistance), you can choose to upgrade them to immunity or add another type of resistances instead.

While not needed from a ballance perspective, it'd probably be fitting for Web Sling's range to improve at higher levels. If not gradually, then as a one-time buff of doubling to 60ft as part of the same Infinite Webs feature that makes Web's ki cost 0. Very little on a martial class can be overpowered at level 17 when the full casters got their 9th level spells on top of all the others. (That reminds me, for my version of Astra Self Monk, I had the final awakened form literally just give the effects of the Foresight spell, among plenty of other other tweaks to the subclass, since that felt very thematic. Still more limited than just having the actual spell since it can't match its set it and forget it duration.)

So I was watching Treantmonk's Web spell and realized the spell has a huge area. What we really want at level 3 is localized webs, to restrain enemies, like ensnaring strike, but without the weapon attack. Yes, that's kind of like a hold person, but we want it to feel more like web shot. We can still use it a number of times equal to our proficiency bonus (i like that), but the web spell is too big for that many uses. What do you think?

well im glad the videos are helping. My best piece of advice in terms of designing dnd stuff (not playing it) is too look at mechanics in games you like and see if they can work in dnd. Like I took ideas from fighting games and used it in my games haha Also funny you say that, the dnd game I run now is entirely in the Underdark. Well the fey dark, but close enough.
