@mckayleepugmire99472 жыл бұрын
@@devinwhite5064 Probably, there's no way he ate the whole thing by himself; tarasques are big, and the bard was with him. Next time the whole party will most likely be there. Plus, this reminds me of a Norse myth where someone accidentally ate a dragon and got the power to talk to birds, so since no one's tried to eat a tarasque before maybe the barbarian and bard have cool powers now?

D&D encounter idea for all of those reading this to consider: The Whispering Bridge. An old stone bridge in a town somewhere is said to be haunted in many stories told of the locals. "If you stand there alone, you here the voices of the damned" or "Don't be on the bridge at midnight-- the Devil's horsemen will come for you" are only some of the rumors they can here. This bridge was constructed with a Sending Stone as it's keystone-- meaning every errant whisper and sound it's partner stone picks up is quietly broadcast to the world from it. The other stone? It could be anywhere in the world you like. Perhaps even on a different plane entirely, picking up the supernatural sounds of beings not from the Material Plane. My personal favorite is to have it connected to another bridge mad in the same manner in another town. You can hear the conversations from there-- and they can hear you as well. You would also hear the horses of the guardsmen cross the opposing bridge in the night. For me, this was a pair of bridges built by two starcrossed lovers fated to a life apart. They would stand on the brides in their respective homes and speak to one another for hours... until one day her lover did not show up. Soon after she also passed away, and their story was lost to time. This was The Whispering Bridge. I hope you enjoy the concept, and am eager to see how you might adapt it to suit your own worlds.

I have plans for a dnd session I play with my girlfriend in the future. I plan to be a rogue. This is because of an inside joke about her fictional character crushes and how we first met. For context, we met in high school on the bus home, introduced by a mutual friend. We talked for a bit and realized we liked the same manga. She told me she had the latest book and I basically said “oh cool” and reached into her bag to take it to read. For some weird reason she never got mad at me. Also, for context, I do NOT do this type of thing usually. It ended up becoming the norm for us with me digging through her backpack or purse and me giving her my dessert from my school lunch. And I learned that nearly all of her top favorite characters in anime and manga and other media were almost always a “dashing thief” type of archetype. I, to this day, joke this is why she eventually fell in love with me, because I was a thief when we first met. So yeah, next dnd session I play with her I’m tailoring it to tease the heck out of her. I will even be a small harengon to emphasis my cuteness to her and she is going to be so red eared for a time. Going to be so much fun! Anyway, yes rogues are fun to play. Normally I play rangers though, but rogues are fun too. I just really like dex based builds, lol.

It’s speed is 20ft with no flight or ranged attacks and it’s regeneration encompasses a lot, but doesn’t actually heal it because text trumps table where they are different. The main defense you are working against is the 15 damage reduction. A level one archer with a horse could manage that. Make it an Anthropomorphic Raven or Bat and you don’t even need a horse. Anyone with decent charisma could diplomance an armada of people with acid flasks. I mean, NPC WBL is plenty that a friendly NPC would buy their own flask or two to throw down. Anyone with access to the orison Create Element: Earth(Clerics, STP Erudites and Paychic Adepts) create Black Sand or Temporal Sand. A single grain of it sticking would fell the beast. The Omnisipher could be finagled down to ECL one via Awakened Animals and then just use any number of skills to kill it. Skills, Lucid Dreaming to make architecture like, say, I don’t know, Rune Circle of Gate and spell traps of who cares you get 10 times the rounds and it can’t squeeze through a 5ft hole to attack you. Plus you aren’t the caster so spell reflect doesn’t really matter. It has shit for Sense Motive, Hypnosis is easy enough to jack up and despite that it should be, it isn’t language dependent. Just run away on a horse with the Yell cantrip on you(free as a potion if you Sanctum it) and you can quell the beast with suggestion after suggestion. PunPun is also level one, but that’s a given from a kobold who surpasses over-deities. However the method to start PunPun even if you don’t go that route gets you a free, no strings attached Wish. Wish for a Rune Circle of Wishes is well within the cost parameters of Wish and then you don’t have to deal with a demon anymore or an Efrit via LE: Candles of Invocation. Titanic Magebred Dungeonbred Advanced Intensified War Monkey could probably just go toe to toe with the thing as a level one character as well.
