Yesterday I also faced same problem. In market car didn't started and was showing Engine Locked, after many attempts it started. Brakes also became very hard. I talked to service centre they told to bring car, let's see what they will find. Mine is Tiago XT, 2020, Oct 2020 purchase.

I am also facing the same problem in Tiago BS6 but I could start by just remove your key and insert again and start, it will start. I am taking up the matter with tata service, soon the problem will get resolved.

@@RKMAutoVlogs Don dino se ya 100 dino se faraq nahi padta, poora clutch press hona cahiye. Kayi gadiyo me ye feature nahi hai, aur kuch naye drivers clutch poora press nahi karte. Baat ye hai ki apki Video ka title misleading hai. Sun kar aisa lag raha hai jaise ki BS6 engine me hi kuch problem hai! Jo ki sahi nahi hai!

Bro my nexon bs6 petrols engine was locked so they toed it to the service station and unlocked it. But they were clueless about the main issue. same lame clutch reason was given. By gods grace the car was again locked in the service centre itself. then they took the matter seriously. And they replaced one 20 amp fuse. since then it worked well for about 15 days. yesterday again engine locked was shown in mid once. i am so angry on tata.

@@YogendraSingh-ij7nk Check if the carpet/mat you are using is very thick? Because of thick matt the clutch sometimes ks not pressed fully. Change the process you follow to start the engine, wait for the instrument cluster to do self check and let the turbo warm before driving the car. Engine Locked does not mean the engine is damaged. It just stops you from doing wrong operation again and again.

first of all, agter market cenreal lock will need a wire peeling, which would void your warranty (read manual). aftermarket quality is very poor as compared to company guniuine products. If you want to go for XE then: 1. have tata genuine central lock. 5230 rs. 2. No power window for rear. 3. music system of tata only. be it 1din or 2din. For reverse camera go for tatas irvm camera set. 6000 rs. Then it would not void any warranty.
