Hi, I am a Chinese Malaysian. A reason why my parents insisted that we need to know Chinese is to ensure that their children must not forget their root. We have been brought up to respect others regardless of their social status, and also ethnic differences. We need to appreciate the culture and spirit of the Chinese, which has long civilisation. Now I am very grateful to my parents for their wisdom. Indeed a good topic, thank you. Am glad to learn that the current Chinese schools have placed emphasis on moral values. The world at large are in chaos because of declining moral values.. Thank you for your video sharing.
i am fortunate to born in Malaysia and had the opportunity to have six years Chinese primary school education. Although my Mandarin knowledge is limited but it's good enough to communicate with other Mandarin speakers. I studied more years in Malay then Mandarin and English but nowadays English is my primary language.

I feel the same to be born in Malaysia although some system not favourable to non bumiputera.
Luckily there are still some forward looking Malaysian Chinese leaders who fought for the existence and to retain the Chinese studies in total Huayi, if not Mas Chinese would have lost their roots and identity totally. Thanks for this recordings! Cheers to you and family! Bravo!

In English grammar, the ‘noun as adjective’ always comes first. So, it’s “Chinese Malaysian”. Similar to "African American".🙂
Sejujurnya, org cina di malaysia harus tau lebih banyak tentang kaum lain..belajar bahasa melayu dan hormati budaya lain lain penting sekali di malaysia

@@seetpohhin5589 Tetapi kebanyakan org cina di malaysia berasal dari selatan cina (cantonese, hainanese, hakka dll). Sejujurnya technically kebanyakan orang cina bukan native speakers Bahasa mandarin. Malaysian Chinese only started to learn and speak Mandarin Chinese in recent decades.
