剧情：
葛洛伯文创艺术中心”是一间位在台湾某乡村的佛像工厂，董事长黄启文英俊又多金，是知名艺术家、慈善家，但其实他与许多官员贿赂勾结，以获得标案，而且他虽有家室仍夜夜寻欢。他透过引荐获得来自“大佛山”的订单，与工人们雕塑一尊大佛像。
中年男子菜脯基于奉养生病老母的压力，四处打工，白日兼任葬仪乐队乐手，夜里在葛洛伯担任警卫，他的好友肚财是个处境更凄惨的拾荒者，两人常在葛洛伯那两坪左右的铁皮屋警卫室里，一起看电视新闻闲聊，佐以超商丢弃的过期冷冻食品。
电视坏掉后，两人百无聊赖，肚财知道黄启文纵情酒色，便要菜脯去取他的行车纪录器，希望内容能排解单身男子的寂寞。起初影像果然没让两人失望，但却也很快让他们发现黄启文与女人有染，还干下杀人勾当，而尸体就藏在中空的大佛像中。
肚财与菜脯开始不知所措，非常害怕偷看一事东窗事发，而两人的举动也被黄启文看在眼里，黄启文为保住地位和名声，也采取相应行动。后来肚财因酒驾车祸而死，怪的是，肚财从不喝酒。
全片透过“黑白”与“彩色”两种手法来描述不同身份的人，有着完全不同的处境和命运，剧情中大多数时间以黑白画面方式呈现，以“人生是黑白的”方式表达处在社会底层者的各种无奈，并使用行车纪录器的“彩色”画面来诠释有钱有势的人，过着“多采多姿”糜烂生活。
Plot:
The Glober Cultural and Creative Art Center "is a Buddhist statue factory located in a rural area of Taiwan. The chairman, Huang Qiwen, is handsome and wealthy. He is a well-known artist and philanthropist, but in fact, he bribed and colluded with many officials to win the bid, and even though he has a family, he still enjoys it night and night. He obtained an order from "Da Foshan" through recommendation and sculpted a large Buddha statue with the workers.
Due to the pressure of supporting his sick mother, a middle-aged man named Cai Dun went to work everywhere. He also played as a musician in the funeral band during the day and worked as a guard at Glober at night. His friend, Du Cai, was a more miserable scavenger. The two of them often watched TV news and chatted together in the guard room of a tin house on the two floors of Glober, accompanied by expired frozen food discarded by supermarkets.
After the TV broke down, the two of them were bored and found out that Huang Qiwen was indulging in alcohol and lust. They asked Cai Dun to retrieve his driving recorder, hoping that the content could alleviate the loneliness of a single man. At first, the image did not disappoint the two, but it quickly made them realize that Huang Qiwen had an affair with a woman and even committed murder, with the body hidden in a hollow statue of the Buddha.
Du Cai and Cai Dun began to feel at a loss and were very afraid of the incident of peeking. Huang Qiwen also noticed their actions, and Huang Qiwen took corresponding actions to protect their status and reputation. Later, Ducai died in a drunk driving car accident. Strangely, Ducai never drank alcohol.
The entire film uses two techniques, "black and white" and "color", to describe people of different identities, with completely different situations and destinies. Most of the plot is presented in black and white, expressing the various helplessness of those at the bottom of society in the way of "life is black and white". The "color" images of the driving recorder are used to interpret the wealthy and powerful, living a "colorful" and decadent life.
