D&G "The One" Fragrance Review

It's taken 4 hours to do this due to technical difficulties! GRRR! Anyway..this is my review of the more modern and glam version of a fruity floral. :)

It’s very creamy... it’s smells like whipped cream, vanilla and peaches... basically pastry 🥮 like. Definitely would wear in the winter. You get the peach first then creamy vanilla with a pinch of amber lingers ❤️❤️❤️

I spent the best time of my life wearing this Scent when I was 22 and in the military. I had the best body of my style and lots of spending money on clothes lol. All I used to do for fun was dress up and go turn heads. Now I'm 29 and married with two kids but finally getting my groove back so I had to pick it back up 😈 . I love your perfume reviews...You are THE ONE I trust when it comes to getting an honest opinion...Thank you for that, I have come to believe that I have very similar tastes as you when it comes to perfumes...Thanks again On my skin I get fruity in the beginning then a lot of Vetiver musk and vanilla in the dry down.

My best friend has been wearing The One since Foreverrr and every time I ask what is this ? What are you wearing ? It’s just lovely and really masculine on her not sweet or fruity . And it changes during the summer time or winter it smells completely different . On me it smells like rubbish ... hahahaha like dirty!

Just sprayed a tester in Ulta. Your description is perfect. I said a little flirty but sophisticated. I compared it to allure also but I hope it doesn’t close so hugely creamy as allure I hate allures dry down. Opens sweet with a touch of fruit then becomes a sophisticated blend of florals, then turns vanilla/skin/sexy.

The fruitiness completely disappears within 20 mins. The thing about losing its sparkle was right on. It smells quite matte, like you want to sit really close to the person wearing it. She also smells like shes sad and brooding, but sexy. Its a night smell for days u spend by the fireplace or going for a late dinner at some terrace. Its too powdery for morning wear which can easily make it smell cheap.

Ok you were soooo spot on with this review! I mean really. But you lost me at the Allure comparison. . One of my least favorite. On myself. From the bottle it's nice. I really really enjoy wearing "The One". . It's in my top five ,Right now, because of how easy it is to wear. And kind to my sinuses. My only problem is when people kiss or hug me hello they all say how they looove My SHAMPOO! Aargh it's my EXPENSIVE perfume, not some $5 bottle of soap! Darn it lol

Michelle aka constantconnie Thanks Michelle. :) Well with the allure comparison, I meant it's literally a flash in the opening...something feels similar. But..it's very fleeting. Oh no people think it's shampoo? grr, People say all sorts of weird stuff about my fragrances too. People's noses are all different. I've been told I smell like candles before..hmm.

Ooh ok then I know what you mean. I have a really cheep ( but really nice ) bottle of lucky number 6 that ,in my opinion ,has that flash . It's a split second of Chanel number 5. Or maybe I'm crazy. Hello! I'm afraid I haven't smelled the EDT but from what i gather, it is more luminous, so it will have less vanilla and be less sweet, probably more focused on the florals. I need to smell it SOON!

Yes! Zara do a perfume called "black amber" which is very cheap and similar to this..not sure if it's still available though. :(

Hi Finally FINALLY bought it for my self. I loved it on first sniff years ago, boom instantly.....and yet i never got it. I thought oh surely I was overreacting but no, it's magical still and will be an easy go to; truly "signature scent" worthy. Oh and I immediately picked up an Allure vibe which I wore exclusively in 1999/2000. So glad to recapture the peach fuzzy vibe that made Allure so addictive.

Is nobody getting middle eastern bazaar, incense, hair oil vibes from this? I feel like Im the only one picking up on the amber which is too overpowering. Not a safe blind buy at all. Luckily I got a mini before purchasing the big bottle. Needless to say, I wont be buying it at all.

The One is beautiful, made before everything had to smell like a plate of cookies. Men's or women's, both great. Nothing like Allure, can't see where you get that...Allure is just...bleh.

agendagurl Yes definitely, it's very versatile. I think probably warmer nights would be better or sprayed with a light hand in the daytime. The drydown is very sweet so..in sweltering heat I think too much might be a bit stuffy.

Its only showing up as 480p max on my 1080p laptop lol, Aaaarrrrrrgggggghhhhhh, millions of kids everywhere = Nightmare, The bottle is rather like the new 75ml Dior homme parfum which i just got, the exact same size as the normal 100ml Dior homme/sport/intense bottles but much thicker glass at the base. Top review mate, i need to get my girlfriend to check this one out, neither of us have smelled it yet.

razscott hmm.. It;s weird because I did a few tests before I did this review with shorter clips and they all came out at 1080. This camera deffo records in 1080 so..dunno what's going on. I think it looks sharper. Might have to do some tweaking. :)
