@@lacrimosaknight that's speculation tho, like we don't know for sure that Allen and the man who told nea about the helix of life are the same person, sure he refers to a person in his past as allen but if you look at the person who told nea about the helix and the Frame of the person saying they will hold on to his memories, they hair is a bit diffrent and the glasses aren't present. Sure somthing could have happend from when they discussed the helix of life and when nea died to alter the appearance of the man but there are only what 4-5 frames of this "past allen" and non of them show the full face. I've seen theory that the man with the glasses is actually a younger cross, nea refers to the man who told him about the helix of life as a friend, they both have glasses and long light hair. We don't know nea's relationship with the man he calls "allen" just that "allen" was willing to become his host and was possible the one to tell him of the helix of life but the ladder can't be confirmed yet. I personally think the independent type inoccence ( I dead ass don't know how to spell its name) is largely at fault for allen/red when red meets mana for the first time he claims they are always ment to intertwine and it the latest chapter it seems like he was using red as a means to kill the millennium earl in his weakend state as mana, he even calls red the lamb to be sacrificed to the heart. There's alot we don't know about the series, I do think that Allen is going to somehow die by they end, but I don't particularly think it's his fault. Even if he ends up being the man from the past that messed with the helix of time that wasn't the Allen the reader or the rest of the characters know. Current allen never made a promise to the 14th he never knew of the helix of time or of the delicate relationships surround the noah, I think even if they end up being the same person as in the same body that Past Allen and Red Allen are mentally completely diffrent people. Our allen never asked to be connected to the man that made a promise to the nea much less nea himself he had his own life, hopes, and relationships. It's like how even tho kanda as a second had the brain of another person transplanted into his body he's not the exorcist who died to make him.

Omggg how did it take me two years to find this. I've been wanting to listen to an English version so bad. I love the Japanese form but I wanted one I could see too as well. D.Gray Man was one of the first animes I've ever watched and I've just recently got into the manga
