D.I.S. - Terrordroid - 1998

In 1996 D.I.S. was founded by four high school friends from the Netherlands. In the following years, as a group they mainly dedicated to hardcore productions. At the time, the gabber scene in the Netherlands was at peak and D.I.S. often performed as a live act at house parties. Known numbers of D.I.S. from this period include The Terrordroid, STSN and Pain & Horror.
Around 2000 D.I.S. changed in composition. Three members left the group. The remaining hole soon was filled by the arrival of a new talented producer, which also led to a new sound. The style became rougher and darker. It resulted in a cooperation with the online Danish label MorphCore. Best-known number of D.I.S. from this period undoubtedly is The Ghost and The Darkness.
Around 2005 it became quiet around D.I.S. The two members could hardly combine their regular jobs with making music. D.I.S. was destined to die a quiet death. Beginning of the year 2010 however, the only remaining core member decided to breathe new life into D.I.S. This has resulted in many new productions, including, for example, Like a Puppet on a String and Set to Go Crazy! Unlike before, the music not only has a hardcore character, but also has influences from techno, hip hop and dubstep.
