I think people believe sister locks and micro locs may hinder edges because some have observed individuals with long sisterlocks with receded edges. I think what causes the edge loss is actually a history of reties that are too tight, or locs where the hair was popped gradually weakening the loc base

With microlocs you should never retie every month especially for fragile parts. Also take care of your scalp and also don't wear your hair up constantly. That will help with none breakage.

I was thinking 2yrs-NO WAY lol.. Congrats congrats congrats. I think women share thier issues w/us re: coloring thier locs is to warn us. So guess what, I'm listening. I threaded a few of mine (sisterlocs) w/colored thread. It's been in for a little over a year. I also used the beezwax color on 2 just to see what it looked like (it looked great -I still haven't did my entire head). Another thing you could do is get some human kinky colored hair & feed/twist it individually (VERY SMALL PEICES though) into your locs (I'll be doing this in the near future). These are all natural ways to get some color-I refuse to use chemicals lol. Your hair looks amaZING...

Maybe your hair isn't locking because there may not be enough hair in the loc for it to loc properly as yours are so tiny.

The though behind small locs breaking edges is because it's such a small amount of hair attaching to your head and it will break off more easily if u don't take care of moisturizing your hair

You don’t need bleach to dye your hair. First dye your locs with a box blonde hair dye to lift the color. After that get adore or a hair rinse the color you want and dye your locs. Look at KZbin Keisha Charmaine research her dye videos. She has never used bleach.

l have been watching you for a while and have made the decision to install my own microlocs, however l do have questions. At what point do you feel you will need a loctitian? and have you received any quotes on how much it would cost? That is what l want to do first because l k ow good and well the upkeep will be my problem. Also, l have dry scalp regularly now. Have you had any issues with dry scalp i.e. dandruff stuck in your locks, and if so how were you able to maintain a clean scalp?

Congratulations 🎈 🎉 I felt like I needed a loctician a few months ago, so I called one shop but her prices were outrageous. I have not had any problems with dry scalp since I have been following a hair routine (which I have a video of btw✨).

You definitely do not need bleach for a light brown. You can use a higher developer like 30 vol with a permanent color

I CANT wear ANYTHING micro or mini, with my fine, porous hair. It would just snap right off and if I take down anything micro or mini my hair will come right out with the takedown.
