I hope Grandma lets you show her beautiful locs :) And, yes, mama you need to close up the open sections (or holes) in your locs. They will either remain as holes or they will loc together but theyll be super fat.. way fatter than the rest of the loc which may make interlocking harder.

For dry hair try 100 aloe Vera gel, distilled, water, vegetable glycerin and some oil. This is like a natural jerry curl juice spray your moisture especially if u seal with a light butter like avocado u will see a major difference. In the summer I can skip the butter and seal with oil only 😁

Here is a suggestion for your rosemary and distilled water mix. Add 1/4 a cup of vegetable glycerin to that mix. It will hydrate your locs all day. When I had my locs (I am currently starting them again) the veggie glycerin added to my spray mix saved my hair. And you guys are in Texas as am I, so I know how hard the weather here can be on our hair. The glycerin will help through the drying winter we are having so far. Great video ladies! 🔥🔥🔥🥰

Hi TyKara! Tell your mother that for my couple of locs which were loose in the middle like that, around 20 months I had one thin completely out in the "open" part so I cut the loc up to the point where it was locked. I basically cut out the loose weaker part in the middle. Doesn't mean this would happen but I've learned that the loose naturally coiled hair in the middle, for me, over time just becomes weaker and thins. It didn't coil tight and lock like I imagined it would. I recommend closing that and interlocking it through that part for added strength. I've only lost one but now I'm checking around 😂.
