Last week I got a bit crafty and decided to panel our back wall in our master bedroom. I followed a tutorial and it actually turned out beautiful! SO pleased with this DIY panelling and especially how CHEAP it was!
My Inspiration came from @for.the.love.of.greige
Tutorial I followed:

Wow, this came out awesome! Brave girl doing all that glueing without a drop cloth on the floor! A couple of years ago I did some home renovations and needless to say I had to buy a new carpet after a tragic accident with light blue paint. 😩 Hubby still won’t let me live it down and literally everything I do he asks where’s the drop cloth haha

I just came across your channel--the room looks beautiful! Two questions: 1) Why did you decide to attach the MDF boards before (priming, then) painting them? If you could do it over again, would you prime and paint them first, or would you stick with your method of gluing, then priming and then painting? 2) Did you have to caulk (sp?) the area between the boards and the wall? I'm renting and am wondering if it's necessary, or if I can get away with only caulking the areas between the panels themselves, avoiding the walls altogether. Ok, I lied, one more question! 3) Did you consider painting the MDF boards a different color, or adding color (either paint or wallpaper) inside the square panels? Why or why not? Thanks again, you guys made it look easy, though I'm sure it was more challenging!

Next time you should prime and paint the strips first . Makes it so much easier and neater than having to brush all the corners. You may still have to do some minor touching up😁

Greta job and good explanations and demonstrations but I have one point to make. Your addition to reach £40:is way off. £30 + £7 for MDF but then you have to add the £5 for caulk the £10 for adhesive, plus the primer and tools. I think you’re closer to £70. Still a massive saving though.
