Buddhism and Jainism which flourished in India, has less than a percent of population each, and less than 10% Buddhist in Nepal, where Buddha was born. All those who don't have knowledge about there own ancestors must enlighten themselves 84000 Stupas which were built around king Ashoka time, Almost all were destroyed by Pushyamitra Shanghu and temples were built on most of the ruins. Famous Bodhi tree was cut down by King Pushyamitra Shunga in the 2nd century BC, and by King Shashanka in 600 AD and removed a statue of the Buddha from a local temple, ordering that it be replaced by an image of Maheshvara..(Destroying one of the important place of worship) Sixth-century Huna ruler Mihirakula, a devotee of Shiva, destroyed 1,600 Buddhist stupas and monasteries and killed thousands of Buddhist monks and laity. Approximately 1,000 sangharamas in Gandhara were 'deserted'/and in 'ruins,' and describes 1,400 sangharamas in Uddiyana as 'generally waste and desolate At Ahmedpur, for instance, a Brahminical temple seems to have been constructed on a stupa base in the fifth century, and icons have been found at several sites around Vidisha, which were transformed into Shaivite or Jain places of worship around the eighth century. More than 250 kilometres north-east of Vidisha, a Buddhist establishment existed at Khajuraho before it emerged as a major temple town from the tenth century onwards, under the Chandellas. Here, the GHANTAI temple appears to have been built on the remains of a Buddhist monument in the ninth or tenth century. From Mathura, which was a flourishing town in western Uttar Pradesh during the Kushana period, present-day Brahminical temples, such as those of Bhuteshwar and Gokarneshwar, were Buddhist sites in the ancient period. Here, the Katra Mound, a Buddhist centre during Kushana times, became a Hindu religious site in the early medieval period." Further, at Kaushambi, near Allahabad, "the destruction and burning of the great Ghositaram monastery has been attributed to the Shungas -- more specifically to Pushyamitra. Sarnath, near Varanasi, where the Buddha delivered his first sermon, became the target of Brahminical assault. This was followed by the construction of Brahminical buildings, such as Court 36 and Structure 136, probably in the Gupta period, by reusing Mauryan materials. Sravasti, where the Buddha spent much of his life, "Brahmins seem to have appropriated a Kushana Buddhist site, where a temple with Ramayana panels was constructed during the Gupta period." There is hardly any doubt that the temples of Purneshvara, Kedareshvara, Kanteshvara, Someshvara and Angeshvara, all in Puri district, were either built on Buddhist viharas, or made of material derived from them." Shashanka of Bengal (600-636AD) destroyed the Buddhist stupas of Bengal and was an oppressor of Buddhism. Shashanka is reputed to have cut the Bodhi tree where the Buddha found enlightenment, in the Mahabodhi Temple of Bodh Gaya. Brahman in his era continuously disturb the Buddhist meetings and councils. Now few facts about HINDU Kings who destroyed HINDU temples 642 CE, the Pallava ruler Narasimhavarman I vanquished the Chalukyas, sacked their capital of Vatapi, and brought the image of Ganesha to his kingdom in Tamil Nadu. The image acquired the sobriquet of Vatapi Ganapati. At times, temple images passed on from one king to another because of their fortunes fluctuating in battlefields, known to us because of the inscriptions proudly detailing who the previous owners were. 950 CE, the Chandella ruler Yashovarman built the Lakshman temple at Khajuraho to house the Vishnu Vaikunth, made of gold. This image was obtained from Mount Kailash by the “Lord of Tibet”, from whom the Sahi King of Orissa wrested it. It was seized from the Sahis after they were defeated by the Pratihara ruler Herambapala. Yashovarman then overwhelmed Herambapala’s son, Devapala, and ferreted it away to Khajuraho In the early 10th century, the Rashtrakuta king Indra III destroyed the temple of Kalapriya, which their arch enemy, the Pratiharas, patronised. Then again, when the Kashmiri ruler Lalitaditya treacherously killed the king of Gauda (Bengal), his attendants sought to seek revenge. They clandestinely entered Lalitaditya’s capital and made their way to the temple of Vishnu Parihasakesava, the principal deity of the Kashmiri kingdom. However, they mistook a silver image of another deity for Parihasakesava, and took to grounding it to dust even as Kashmiri soldiers fell upon them. Sankaravarman of Utpala dynasty who ruled between 885 CE until 902 CE looted his own Temple treasure for revenue. Harsha, also Harshadeva, (ruled 1089-1111 CE) was a Hindu king of Kashmir, India, destroyed both Hindu and Buddhist temples, and is credited with creating an office of "devotpaatana-nayaka", destroyer of gods. Brahman Murhari Rao Looted 'Narhari Temple' of king ShriRang-1(1572-85) of Vijaynagar Kingdom. Hindu Kings who destroyed Masjids- King Sadashiv Rai (1542-70) of Vijay Nagar Kingdom- After winning battle on Ahmadnagar Kingdom. He destroyed Quran and Masjids and openly targeted Muslim women and raped them In Vijaynagar Kingdom, there was constant communal riots between Jain's and Vaishnav's(Brahmans) Anyway this comment had already became so vast. Leave the rest. Please Please cross-check all the information which I said above🙏 please don't believe anything BLINDLY as u have done in the past. It's the fact that FEW Muslim rulers destroyed Temples and I condemn it and it's a Shame and No one is Justifing it, But fact also remain that Most among them never meant to demean any community, it was the trend going on since Ancient times [Devotpaatana-nayaka] (To understand more u have to understand History thoroughly). Secondly it's not about who did what, it's about learning positive things from the History and realizing that History cannot be changed and we have to more forward, become rational So that we don't become puppets of Political parties and increase our Unity in order to take country forward economically, and fight against foreign powers who bats an eye each day like China etc. Love and respect
