D-Link Wi-Fi Range Extender DAP-1620: expand your wifi coverage | JK Chavez

It seems a lot of people are having issues with the range of their WiFi range, and they don't want to get a third party WiFi router for the fear of not being able to configure it properly.
Will this D-Link WiFi range extender help? is it really easy to configure? will it extend my wifi range?

Does it work like a powerline adapter or does it need the router wifi to be on to take the signal ans extend it?

Definitely different from a powerline.. this one needs the wifi signal coming from the main source of wifi.

of course it can use to extend wifi network thats what it does. But nobody explain either the LAN port on DAP1620 can use to connect to computer using LAN ethernet( computer without wireless card).

Si pag bibili ako ng router like for ecample yung AX23 tapos porivder ko is converge need ba sila bukas pareho then naka LAN cable AX23 sa converge modem?

Hi sir, as much as possible dapat naka off na ung wifi capability nung converge modem mo, para less interference yung wifi broadcast ng modem-router at new wifi router mo po, one option kasi na pede din is sobrang laki ng area or bahay, kaya pedeng naka on pa din ung wifi ng modem while yung new router is malayo sa modem router using long lan cable para all area may wifi network..

In my market there is dap 1610 and dap x 1870 (ax1800). what is the difference between them ? which will give better performance? Does it works/supports on any brand router?

Hi, i have not tried both of those, but my suggestion regarding performance, is that the ax1800 would give better performance if you have a main wifi router that is also wifi 6 capable.

Hi sir, it varies po, it depends sa wifi extender, itong DAP-1620 can give you additional 10 to 15 meters of stable connection basta maganda ung connection na nakukuha nya from main source..
