Matt Cardona has been the most interesting thing in wrestling. If you said that he entered a AAA masked luchador tournament as El Broski, or have a two out of three falls handcore match against Jon Moxley, or have a tuxedo match against Dalton Castle in front of a Denny’s, I would 100% believe you.

The thing is... you SHOULDN'T be surprised Matt Cardona's become such a success as an independent star. He got over with his Zack Ryder internet skits, years before stuff like BTE or Broken Matt Hardy were even a thing. He has always been good at this, he just needed to bet on himself and really do his own thing.

He tried to get over by himself his entire career. It's the story of his life. I love that guy because he doesn't rely on anyone and he always bets on himself. He loves this business and he's not in it for the money. He said himself that he's having the run of his life in the indies. He loves it and i'm really happy for him.

I'm happy that Matt's doing so well now. I don't really watch pro wrestling outside of WWE but I do watch stuff on KZbin and somewhat follow what's going on elsewhere. He's just a really smart individual. He got into WWE by creating a great character and using social media to promote himself. I thought he was great there but, as always happens to certain people, he got sort of pushed aside for other talent. Now he's reinvented himself and seems to be doing great, so congrats to him!
