Part 9: • D Meeks Goes Off on BM...
Part 1: • D. Meeks, Depicted as ...
--------
In this clip, D. Meeks talks about William "Doc" Marshall and the way in which the former CFO of BMF flipped on the organization in order to help the feds with their case against Southwest T and Big Meech back in 2006. He also shares his thoughts on the events leading up to their guilty plea and their 30-year sentence back in 2008.
Moving along, D. Meeks states that he mainly associates with people from the Detroit branch of BMF instead of the ones from Atlanta, because of familiarity. Later in the discussion, D. Meeks talks about the line of work that he decided to pursue upon his release from prison. He declared that working in construction was far less stressful than the drug game. As the conversation unfolds, the former drug lord talks about what being a drug dealer is like and why it's the worse job in the world. He sheds light on the dangers of the drug game, why rival drug dealers don't get along and why he no longer thinks that lifestyle is worth the risk.

50 has the best saying to that ever..it's like working a minimum wage job but with no perks or breaks and it's 24/7.. sitting in the apartment all day hittin the block within walking distance all day n night. Everyone can't be the plug. It's gone be a hard road if that's what ya choose

The anxiety, stress and eventually the guilt you end up having from the game will eventually wear on you. You selling to those close to you and you seeing their health failing cuz of what you giving them. Rationalizing it as someone gonna sell it to them.

Tried the "trap" gig during my senior year in high school 1996 in Decatur GA. Somehow I got into Jazzy T's with my friend and his two uncles. After that I said " I need money to do this every weekend"!! It was all good until I served someone that wanted more than I wanted to sell. When I said I didn't have it, he said "put me on to the plug". I told why couldn't do that. Then he says "lil' nicca I should just take your shit from you". I was done the next morning. I sold the rest to a friend for cheap and joined the Navy. Best decision of my life

I called myself trapping in SWATS, ATL back in 99. At the time I was struggling to find a job and I needed to make some money. I was so broke at the time all I could afford was like $5 for food and the rest I'd give to my girl so she could get back home on SMARTA. It was the WORST feeling ever man. The paranoia and anxiety are also what nobody ever talks about. Every time somebody called my phone I was thinking it could be a set-up. First, you only serve people you know but then you gotta expand and serve people that you know people's and then you start marketing for customers. But I was actually feeling like I failed at life cus' I wasn't raised like that. I quit, enrolled in Morris Brown, got myself a part-time job, and never looked back. You can have the life of a street nigga, d-boy, trap star, that shit is wack. I wasn't even thinking about no broads or no clothes or cars, for me it was about survival. But in reality, you're better off working at McDonald's, UPS or the airport or driving for Amazon.
