KZbin is so class for my generation. I'm a big house music fan, the darker, progressive stuff such as Christian Smith. It is so good to be able to watch/listen to classics like this that were inspirational to so many decent artists now. I agree our cureent chart music is terrible but good electronic music is being made and it is all thanks to guys like D-Mob

Was at a local beach two or three years ago with my Cousin and his wee 4 year old daughter. Got bored and wrote "Acieed" on the sand. The littleun quized what it was. So after she heard how it was said.....she rushes up to her mother shouting (in her own way) Aciiied! Oh the innocence of youth, bless.

I remember seeing this on some late-night local-TV-station music video show when I was 15 or 16. Growing up in rural Maine in the '80s, I had _zero_ cultural context for it, and the program just dropped it in between two regular pop songs without comment. I can still remember that feeling of _absolute mystification._ I knew I had just witnessed _something,_ but I had no idea what the hell it was. :)

I was totally hooked, 1989 I'm 14 this is fucking amazing, then breakbeat/ jungle/Dnb/hardcore/techno/ happy hardcore! Those years were absolutely amazing to live with❤️ They said rave would die lol, it's lived over 30 years and has evolved into probally over 250 sub genres!

Bro the things I would give to be on the 80s is immense, I'm so jealous about my parents and other people telling stories about what they got up to in school and there's me who the most "rebellious" things I've done is skive and throw a stink bomb at the front of the bus... They seemed like THE best times to live (ik about racism and Margret Thatcher in the UK but I mean like the best years to get away with stuff and music and people too... And I'm 15 and aaaaa everyone agrees that they'd prefer to be in the 80s than now in my friend group too

4 black micro dots in 1 hit back then, whhoooo what a fucked up trip. even distorted my hearing,(the ringing from the prodigys "claustrophobic sting"reminds me of the hearing distortion i experienced) started to panic and left the bedsit i was in with around 10-15 other liked minded people. kept looking behind me where i see this lad that was in the room following me about 50 feet behind, i stopped he would stop, i move again and so does he, after about half a mile i eventually lose it, run up to him and shout "WHAT THE FUCK YOU FOLLOWING ME FOR MATE"!! and he replies, sorry mate you got my coat on". I take his coat off and give it to him and carried on with the truly fucked up 4 mile walk back to mine.

This track sounded the death knell for underground Acid and brought it to the charts. Before this it was 'our' thing. After this, the Sun, News at Ten and the Government jumped on it and blew Acid house out of proportion. Yes, there were drugs involved, but for us it was about the music.
