That Blue Train, looks like it came from an old J.G.Brill catalog, neat!! Nice for a line that has 120 years of operation under its belt!! And the timetable is tough, with single track, and passing sidings, being on time,is the only option, and knowing Japanese railways, you're dealing in seconds, not minutes 😑! Very beautiful operation, and really sets a real good example of how to run a railroad!! Thanks for the video, and excellent photography 📸! Thank you 😇!!!

Sensacional essas filmagens meu amigo muito bom sou do Rio de janeiro Brasil
Most of the spring switches I have encountered return automatically after train has past, using the springs or counterweights This system is safer as it ensures that the blade has reset properly.
Another great video. Is the point delay on return hydraulic or electromagnetic. How do these spring switches work exactly ?

Thanks for watching. The delay when the switch rail returns is hydraulic. A spring point consists of a spring, a hydraulic damper and a shock absorber. This is the type that does not return immediately after passing the wheel.

Por que a chave muda bem na hora da passagem do trem ? Não seria mais seguro mudar com antecedência? 🇧🇷

When the train passes, the tongue rail returns to its original position under the force of a spring. It does not require any switch operation. So these are low cost.
