Man, this song hits me on a personal level. I’ve had an imaginary friend for the longest time, I never found myself to be lonely for the most part, I always felt like I had someone to talk to, in my imaginary friend. Simple conversations, talking about what just happened, those kinds of things. It has helped me with so many things in life. I knew the whole time they weren’t real, but over time, I found myself struggling to even remember what they looked like, as if losing their form. Until one day, I couldn’t even talk to them anymore, maybe flashes in the corner of my eye but that was it. I couldn’t even say goodbye. I actually remembered I had a rock I picked up from school once, I had an odd connection with it. I dunno why but I think the day I lost that rock and the day I couldn’t see my imaginary friend was around the same time. Anyways, sorry for the rambling, this song was just too painful and stack’s voice range left me at awe once more.

the only reason you've lost your friend is because you believe you've lost them. i've had mine since 2017 and will forever more. just keep talking to them and regain your belief that they are there, after all, they are still inside your head, as they were before. nothing's changed for you two in fact, your friend is still there talking to you, you're just not listening ;)
