Yeah, so I've heard. But as far as I understood... Syrufit will not make arrangements, only post-production, maybe mastering (not shure if this is the same thing?). I hope I'm wrong, but this wont be something like good old SSC, maybe it will be like today's Poplica*, which, btw, disappointed me a lot. Anyway I'm looking forward to hear this new circle and even new Alstroemeria album - Syrufit came back to them, so... this gives me a tiny hope

I've been around the Touhou music scene since high-school over a decade ago and all this confuses me still, circles and the term arrangement, curious if anyone can explain what they mean and How these comments held up. Curious how this will change as YT music pushes music steams vs steaming fan channels and what it will mean for community connections and also ease of discovery and and artist revenue and discoverability vs new content discovery and also content favoritism

@@Kitsune557 that's not so easy to explain, to be honest. Think about a circle as of some kind of a brand that releases music of its own style. For example, Studio Syrup Comfiture is a brand under which albums were released. There are arrangers - guys who make music for circles. Here we have Syrufit aka hiro.na as circle representer, and Poplica* aka Tak_sk, as co-founder. However, occasionally Shibayan and Linjin from Shibayan Records and ZYTOKINE respectively were taking part in creating albums for SSC. As well as Syrufit himself did some works for Alstroemeria records. And Minoshima san wrote couple tracks for SSC in return. That's a usual thing when arrangers release under different circles. Sometimes circle may not be just a brand, but an actual band or arranger who sticks only to their own name. For example, Foreground Eclipse guys never participated in other circles (we do not count Merami here). But in general arranger is free to move around from circle to circle - whoever would be glad to have them on their album. Next, arranger - is a guy who do re-arrange of someone else's work. In our case - it's touhou ost. However, sometimes arrangers go beyond re-arranges and do original works. That makes them... composers? I'm just calling them artists as most general term, which may be more rarely used in touhou themed scene.

No matter the year. I keep coming back to this arrange since the day it was posted on this channel. There's something so special about it, and yet hard to put into words. This arrange manages to recreate the feeling of pain, not a physical one but an existential one via the long sustained notes of the intro sounding almost like a muffled death rattle. There's something paradoxical in this intense calm but I think this is what brings me back to this arrange. Songs like that make me glad that I still listen to Touhou music nowadays, thank you Syrufit for this masterpiece, thank you Nitori for uploading it 5 years ago (It feels like your channel termination was yesterday).
