Wow I was not expecting those English vocals at the start and the shifting between them, although I probably should of expected it seeing how much I loved the "Ephemeral Fantasy" arrange from Frozen Starfall's last album. Given I did not expect that and I keep misspelling my words I'm probably either tired (since it's 3:41) or Drunk since Suika's offering us a drink-and the thing about Suika offering drinks is that she will never permit you to say no.

It definitely feels weird at first, like a culture shock, to hear a duo in which one sings in English and the other in Japanese and then, they both sing in Japanese (I think?) for a little bit. Nice to hear that it's a real English accent and not just random Engrish (no offense!), however, I'm still not used to hearing a song being sung in two different languages throughout the entire song - it feels weird for some reason LOL I can definitely recognize Mei Ayakura's voice though, so I'm totally biased in her favor!

You know "cheerish every single day your alive" is the last message I would expect to hear from an Oni that lives in old Hell, which is kinda ironic. Don't most westerners like me find this paradoxical as well, that the best inspiration about how we should cheerish the things we were given comes from fictional beings that represent a " pagan" culture,and not from the so called Christian theology, which instead bombards us with how everything we do in our lives is offensive to our one and only creator, I mean we're given free will but when we make the wrong choice that offends God, it's eternal damnation... So much for free choices, that mostly consist of making ourselves more miserable just to please a wrathful and sadistic deity, I mean are we sure that Christian God isn't the devil masquerading as God? Because he certainly acts the part xD. Hypocrisy of the so called Roman Catholic moralism is so strong in certain European countries like Poland for example, that I wonder do we even remember what's it like to actually be a Christian, or for what Christ's martydoom stood up for, the way all modern Christians really are is a simple betrayal of these values in my opinion.
@makarovvino28133 жыл бұрын
I really wish I have the luxury afforded to some of these westerners to just be able to think about things like these. I have seen places/countries where this "reviled" christianity is not the predominant religion, or is absent, and it's values there are not practiced. I've been through the most fanatically religious ones, and even to the most secular of societies whose people have no concerns to the concept of god and heaven or hell, just the here and now. Some of them were just fine, but some really disturbed the heck out of me. I hear people from the west complain all the time about the ills of christianity, but to be honest, speaking from a non-westerner point of view, you folks really lucked out. From what I've experienced, the most civil, liberal, and humane places I've visited are the ones which I consider "christianized". I'm amazed that some people in these countries can just complain about these christians being "immoral" by not following/conforming to their core values, because I've been exposed to people who are completely "amoral" assholes who have no basic sense of humanity at all! I am envious of people who can just post criticisms about the cultures and countries they belong to, while some of us have to use some sort of VPNs just to be able to do the same. The worse ills I've heard people argue about this religion, is nothing compared to the worse ills that everything else I've seen has to offer. To be honest, I think it suppresses the worst things humanity has to offer. Christians to me are like docile sheep, they are so easy to fool and lead around, so easy to scare. You just have to talk about some hellfire and they'll behave. Others are more free on their indulgences, they can do far more, or "worse" before they feel afraid of their version of hell. Then, there's the secular ones, they are the most unruly and they have no sense of consequence in the after life at all. They, to me, are like raging bulls.

I believe Makarov has a rather infantile view of Christianity, but I can also understand his sentiment, naturally I am not criticising the traditional Christian culture, but you must understand that modern Christians don't necessarily value these Christian stories nor are they seriously afraid of some kind of hellfire. In truth your views is obscured because you don't realise that most of these secular Western societies were meant to actually be Christian. Now it's true that I have no idea from where exactly Markov is supposed to be writing, however I will troll him if claims that he is a Russian and suffering under the Putinist regime, because that would mean he is just an Ukrainian troll. Russians are disconnected from global Internet, so I doubt they would be able to complain about it on KZbin.

I mean for this song specifically. I know Sasi sings in german so it's weird for me to hear her in english (assuming it's the same Sasi). Especially when she's in a Duet and the other person is singing in Japanese. Maybe it's just the fact that I don't hear multi-lingual duets that often so, I am interested if it would still sound weird even if she sang in German.
@nolategame63675 жыл бұрын
CannedPsycho ah I guess I misunderstood, but yeah, I think it’d still sound pretty odd since they’re completely unrelated languages. I’ve seen many European languages mashed together and it sounds fine if you don’t think about too much or don’t understand it, but here there are obvious differences in the linguistics between the two languages.
