You know given how upbeat this is the first thing that came to my mind is that Yuuka quote "Wen day is dark always remember happy day"...of course given that it's Yuuka saying it I imagine she's violently tearing us apart while saying it. Yuuka: (Cuts off a person's arm with her Parasol) Person: "Oh god, my arm!" Yuuka: "Wen day is dark, always remember happy day." (Continues to beat the person to death as they scream in agony).

You know trying to point out how much Touhou fans exaggerate personality traits is pointless, right? Even if the character doesn't even have the personality trait. (Not to say Yuuka isn't confirmed to be at least a little sadistic)

It's pretty much an inevitability in a work with such loose canon. It seems to me that people always like to think "If this is open to interpretation then *everything* about it is, right?", and I'm not just talking about the Touhou fandom there, I see it all over the place. The best thing to do is just to ignore it. I totally get the urge to correct people, but it's almost always more frustrating than it is rewarding, because people who don't listen to canon usually won't listen to you either.

You know i think the bigger problem is when people get introduced to touhou a lot of the time it's one of those fans introducing them. I mean I'm a minor fan I stay for the music and a few games but I;m not hardcore and i was originally introduced by an obsessed exaggerating fanboy so yeah.. Still have a favorite character though and she is the strongest.
