I’m a korean design student and i also went through the entrance exam. In korean entrance exam, students have to finish the exam in 4hours even though they draw their painting on the same paper size. So in korea, it is important to draw quickly(we usually finish the sketch in 30~40 minutes) and it is more important to make contrast in painting(we use poster black color and white color to make contrast) than to make pretty color. I really enjoyed watching this video and especially this diffrence was interesting:)

This is the format of the exam of the Tokyo university of the arts in Japan. Since there is more time, the work must be finished with a high degree of accuracy. On the other hand, at the Musashino Art University, the same design-related departmental exam has 3 hours to produce the work, which is similar to the format you have taken. 本来の色からちょっと離れた色相の色を入れる仕事のことです。色幅とか見応えを増やしたい時によく使います。 色相を振ると鮮やかに見えやすい代わりに色選びが結構重要になってくるのでその辺の吟味が必要ですね。
