Aircraft Display Model collector Henry Tenby of AircraftDisplayModels.com paid a long anticipated visit to the famous WING CLUB Desk Model shop in Tokyo, Japan where he had the great pleasure of visiting and meeting with the shop owner Mr. Masayuki Yano.Mr. Yano explained the history of the shop and his own passion in collecting and now producing an amazing range of high detail display models which are offered for sale at his shop, which is located in Minato-Ku, Tokyo. A visit to this amazing shop is highly recommended and if you go, please tell Mr. Yano that you learned about it from this video.

Thank you Antti ... I had been waiting many years to visit WING CLUB in Tokyo. There are very few shops like this in the world, so I want to do my best to help spread the word to help these stores become more known. This store is not really marketed in English language anywhere or social media English language, so I hope my video will help them be more well known.

man i am so sad. when i was 11 or 12 i by chance stumbled upon this store. i begged my parents to let me visit while they shopped. i entered and had a wonderful conversation with the owner, such a fabulous man, gosh I hope he's ok. anyhow we spoke and he gifted my brother and I a small model of a vintage Japanese plane. i still remember it vividly till this day. i was too young to appreciate it. i hope he's doing ok. i wish it was still open.

I am also very lucky and happy that I got to visit this store just before the pandemic started. It was an honor to meet the owner of the business. He was a very kind and friendly man. Like all good things they do come to an end and aviation shops are known to be short-lived ventures. This shop was unique because of the beautiful models that it had, and it was in Japan, which made it special in my opinion.

@@JetFlix it was in May this year. I think Mr. Yano is unable to attend to the company, he is the brain behind all their products. Thank you for the commendation, my model building has improved significantly due to his guidance. I pray that he doesn't suffer too much 🙏🙏🙏

I have all models by wing club, but made by bandai, scale 1/144, desktop models are very expensive for me, please make another video soon, thank you.

I will not be able to check until I next visit Tokyo at some point. As of July 30 2022 Japan is still closed to tourists due to the pandemic.
