I studied mandarin from a female Chinese lecturer. She taught us 2 songs from Teresa, this one and Tian Mimi. She was like our mother, very loving. We asked her to sing this song in a college concert. She agreed. We always heard and watched her practising. 3 days before the concert, she died in car accident on her way for rehearsal. Whenever I hear this song, I can't help sobbing and so do my ex classmates. To our mother and teacher, the moon represents our hearts. We love you..

I feel quite upset with your story. sincerely hope the sadness pass and the beautify of songs fullfill your heart.
I hail from Ethiopia and first encountered this captivating melody within the confines of my Chinese language classroom. Our teacher introduced us to the accompanying poem, guiding us through rehearsals. We then had the delightful opportunity to synchronize our voices with the teacher’s video performance. I am deeply enamored by this music, finding it both serene and heartwarming. Its beauty and trust-inspiring qualities have left an indelible impression. Words cannot adequately convey the depth of my affection for this song, which stands as one of the most exquisite musical experiences I have encountered during my time in China. While my understanding of the lyrics is limited, the sheer beauty of the melody and vocal performance has left me captivated. The singer’s voice is exceptionally harmonious and truly remarkable. I find myself returning to this song again and again, unable to resist its allure.

I am a white american 15-year-old guy from North Carolina, the last person you'd expect to be listening to this treasure. A few years ago I was looking for some Japanese songs, as I love Japanese culture, when I stumbled on this video. I was instantly infatuated with her singing and listened to her regularly ever since I heard this song. I even got to know and love her Mandarin and Cantonese songs as well, and also inspiring me to learn all about Taiwan and it's history. All because of one video, which I am so grateful for viewing, I got to learn about this treasure in the music world, unknown in America by people other than the Chinese living here. Thank you!

Cantonese song.

I remember listening to this when I was a baby (Chinese American born in 1994). I just stumbled upon this and immediately went straight to nostalgia. The fact that you're so young to learn this most obscure song for a White American is incredibly exceptional. I don't even know my fellow asian friends my age know of this song.

All the love from the Philippines! I'm born and raised Filipino, but I grew up listening to this and The Moon Represents My Heart. Such wonderful songs. My partner and I love listening to her.
Even if you hear Teresa Teng's singing voice today, it will never go away. She is the eternal queen of Asia and her voice is very advanced. She is a talented artist and will never be like her again.
