I always wonder what Sophia sees in the mirror when she looks at herself. I wonder if she’s critical of her looks or if she frets about her appearance. When I look at her I see sunbeams shining out of her face. I’m not being facetious. I feel like I can honestly see the kindness just pouring out of her and how lucky the people are in her life. To experience her kindness in real life must be like basking in sunshine. I hope my kids think I’m kind too. I guess what I’m trying to say is that you motivate me to be a kinder version of myself.

When my Mother died, it was decided that I would have her Blue Willow dinner set. Problem was she lived in Australia and I lived in New Zealand. Every trip my sister (in Australia) and I made between the countries included as much of the dinnerset as we would manage to fit in our luggage! Several years later I was in possession of the entire set. Lol. The only piece I broke was the sugar bowl, much to my distress. The set was in display on a hutch until I had to shift and couldn't bring the hutch with me. I decided I would use the set as my everyday china. Funnily enough, not a single dish has got broken since then! I feel honoured to have it.

I wanted to share that the other day i cleaned up my pump organ and thought of you. It has so many nooks and crannies and therefore I do not often deep clean it. It took 3 hours with dusting, relocating and reorganizing the items on the organ. But how much joy I felt doing it. I got this pump organ from my grandmother's house with whom I share a name and a birthday. Happy mother's day.

Thanks for the tour. I love looking at antiques and hearing family stories. My most treasured piece is a shot glass in that old merlot colored glass from the 1910 Cincinnati Fair with my grandmothers name written on it. I need to revamp and declutter my curios too and get some of those treasured items displayed. My Mom had a nice collection of porcelain dogs that I also want to put on a shelf.

The ancestors from both families are lucky that someone who so loves the history and beauty behind each object, has taken ownership and assumed care of these beloved pieces. And one day one of your descendants will tell the story of your own personal favorites. What a wonderful history and family oriented, beautiful china cabinet you have created to pass onto your family. I love that kind of history.

Thank you Sofia you have inspired me to tackle my curio cabinet! I love your beautiful Waterford flutes. I have inherited my Mum’s dinner set which she received as a wedding gift in 1954. It didn’t have a sugar bowl but after searching for over 5 years I found it on Etsy in England. Just like you my heart jumped and I was so excited to have found it. I just wish Mum was around to see it. Happy Mother’s Day!

What a beautiful way to start my day! I collect and have a fondness for old china and crystal and am fortunate to have my mom’s 1950s dinner set my brother brought home from the Korean war. Watching you handle your treasures so lovingly with the soft pretty music in the background is a bonus! And the chimes from your clock add just the right amount of “hominess” to complete the experience. I will watch this one over and over when I feel stressed. Thank you and Happy Mother’s Day even though it is July when I am watching this.

Half way through watching this video I was called into the kitchen. I glanced over to my dining room cabinet and started moving things around. First of all you’re not ridiculous, everyone has sth that keep touching his/her heart no matter others opinions will be, and I’m one that can tell how you and your house are improving from one year to another, I love you as you was and as you now, and feel very happy when you do long videos and chitchat with us, yes chitchatting in my opinion is better than lots of music, because of many reasons one of them the listener will feel that you’re their friend/ family member or someone who cares, but the music we can hear it in anywhere, chitchatting let me feel that there’s someone who’s with me when I’m doing tasks or when I’m preparing for one.... you’re so nice to give us your precious time when you record or edit and share with us... I’m one of those subscribers who will enjoy whatever you do ..... and about helping kids to learn how to be good at anything not only in organizing “previous videos “ I’m totally with you... you such a great mom ... having happy Mother’s Day ..... please take care of yourself and your family.... stay safe, positive, active and happy 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷
