Another beautiful video. I liked the architecture, and especially the night lighting. It's great to see so many people out walking, and eating outside. Here in the United States, many downtowns are semi-dead at night, often the architecture is modern and simple, and people are mostly in cars. The cities are not made for easy walking. We do have lots of trees though, in many places. I really enjoy your posts, and I think Poland looks beautiful. Here too restaurants are getting very expensive, and it is better to go to a grocery, if you're on a budget.

Łódź is becoming more and more beautiful because it has a very good president 🙂 Łódź is lagging behind other major cities in Poland in rebuilding and renovating the city after the communist/war times, but Łódź will be a pearl among other Polish cities in 10-15 years (if the changes continue like this).

@@Polans-gd Yes, yes, that "very good" president who plunged Łódź into huge debts. Under this president, Łódź is constantly shrinking instead of expanding. Łódź currently has the largest population decline among the 5 largest Polish cities. Young people are actually fleeing this city. Never-ending renovations that paralyze entire areas of Łódź and causing huge traffic jams in the city. One of the worst (if not the worst) public transport from large cities in Poland. This is the reality of Łódź under the rule of this "wonderful" president.

A beautiful city and video. I can imagine how expensive it would be to eat at one of those fancy restaurants. I can see why you avoid them, even though they are tempting. Thanks for the video. I look forward to seeing them every morning.

These are not very expensive restaurants - especially for someone who earns in dollars, pounds, or euros. For this boy, it is expensive because he is young and still studying.

How far away from Krakow or Zakopane? Do you have snow in December?
@teq_nix3 ай бұрын
30 years ago we had almost always snow from late November but climate changes and last 10 years you have to be lucky to see snow in Poland. The last two years there has been a spot of snow but max 2 weeks, usually in January.

How sad that such a nice guide can't afford to visit a restaurant/cafe. It's very sad that there are rich and poor people... However, when I lived in Poland, I also didn't visit restaurants, and didn't even buy food in Zhabka, but only in Biedronka. Congratulations from Ukrainian Donetsk!
@alh62554 ай бұрын
It's not that bad (in addition, in Poland, the distribution of wealth is much more equal than in other European countries, not to mention the USA, Russia or Ukraine...). But why spend money in expensive restaurants focused on tourists, if there are cheaper places, also cool, or even cooler, such as "milk bars" (specific for Poland, Polish home cuisine, not only "milk" one :)), restaurants of many kinds in side streets, or a very developed offer of street food (not just more expensive brands in shop malls)? When it comes to cafés, even a budget, young tourist can afford a cake and coffee there :) And generally, even if you earn only a minimum wage in Poland, you can afford really fancy restaurants, although, of course, rather once every 15 days, than several times a week. The increase in energy costs in recent years has caused high inflation, but it is already slowing down, and minimum wages or average wages went up. Nevertheless, I repeat - it's not as bad as you think :) As for the stores of the Zabka chain - these stores are absolutely not used for everyday purchases, but for occasional food or cosmetic purchases, when you urgently have to buy something close to your home. These are relatively expensive stores (more expensive than the average stores in Poland), but nobody buys regularly there. You should not compare Zabka with Auchan or Dino supermarkets or discounts such as Biedronka, because it makes no sense.

You can see that you are lying. There is no poverty in Poland, look at the GDP, but you don't know what it is because you have no education, right?
@alexfromalczewsk4 ай бұрын
@@PolishMan11 Of course, without education! How can you work as a chief editor of a local television station with an education? With an education, you can only build a brick building on Henryk Pobozny 14 in Wroclaw (which is what I did in 2014) or build the A6 motorway in 2015. And thanks to such narcissistic and self-confident representatives of the PIS as you, Poland has been overtaken in GDP per capita over the last 10 years by countries such as Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia, and Romania is next... And you, get rich in thought! Czesc!

He's a young guy (student) who doesn't have a lot of money to travel, so his plan is to cut costs wherever he can. Instead of going to a restaurant, he prefers to buy a bread roll and kiełbasa at the Biedronka and eat in the car.
