It's official !!! - D Smoke won the first season of Rhythm + Flow. This is the live audio from D Smokes first appearance on the show. It was the casting in Los Angeles.
I'm very happy that he won. He truly deserves it. He is a stunning musician all around not only lyrically but instrumentally. Best of luck for all upcoming adventures and hopefully many more songs to come.
BTW: This might be the first ever casting show I've watched and truly got the vibes. Especially after the initial castings in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta and Chicago the show truly picked up and really focused on actual music not only entertainment. With Chance the Rapper in the jury, it sounded already pretty promising from the beginning.

Started watching this show for him after I saw his nomination at Grammys.. And his n snow da product song was straight fire.. Listened to his recent album and it's straight an A+! Album of the year with grip and Nas. Then I read his background and was blown away. A UCLA graduate then a music n Spanish high school teacher then winning this show and two yrs later his second album gets Grammy nomination! What a man! And he came into the rap game in his 30s!
