I wonder how it’s possible that all the instruments such as the erhu and this flute have this unique sound no western instruments have. It’s rlly the most beautiful sound ever.
@vetaniellecalya16623 ай бұрын
I'd say it's the material. Bamboo instruments sound way different than wooden instruments and the same applies for different types of metal (even chrome flute sounds different than golden or silver flute and different types of wood have various tone qualities). Dizi (this flute) also has a vibrating membrane adding yet another reason why it sounds so different than western flute. Hope it wasn't too technical and answered your question.

I think I’ve only heard this on the kalimba on replay, whoever composed this song just wow. However, it just takes a whole other level on this instrument somehow 🥺🥺🥺 And you play it so well! *just close to tears*

Hello.. Can I have a request? Can you please try to cover the song "Hunt For The Blood Moon"?
@heartsonchannel6 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for the suggestion. Although I personally do kind of like that theme, I doubt I have the ability to play it. That song is Japanese styled and is best played with the Japnese ver of Chiba flute. It also doesn't have much of a main melody, which is what I usually look for in a song to cover. However, I did do a cover for the league lunar revel. I hope that makes up for it :)

Thanks for the cover! I'm looking to learn dizi and planning to get one in D key. Do you have any suggestions for whether I should purchase the dizi from a particular luthier? I was initially planning to get a DXH but was informed by someone that the quality hasn't quite kept up in the last few years, so I'm wondering if you have any recommendations.
@heartsonchannel4 жыл бұрын
Sorry, if I had to pick one it would have been DXH. I expected the quality to go down since I've been seeing so many different "models". Don't really know any good makers because I have not bought a dizi in many years. Only suggestion is to buy after testing it if you can.
@ubikentang6174 жыл бұрын
@@heartsonchannel Thanks for the reply! Do you have any suggestion on the ideal key to get? I was suggested the D key by various folks (balance of ease of learning plus room for further improvement), but when I reached out to the DXH store, I was recommended the F key instead for the sake of learning ease.
@heartsonchannel4 жыл бұрын
@@ubikentang617 F is smaller and kind of high pitched. It can be easier to play but might need some lip strength especially for higher notes. That is good practice. But if you don't want that or want something that is more "quiet"/less piercing in sound then you can get a lower key like D or E.
