Spectacular footage. Amazed that the road was plowed! Love the music, too!

I’ve been vacationing in Lake City Colorado since 1978 and I have never seen that much snow in June. Can’t wait to get there this year the end of July. Just beautiful.

Very beautiful and it is so awesome to see the snow pack like this. I was up by wolf creek pass a few weeks ago and the snow was deep in just the tree line. Nice video by the way.

Do you have any idea of how it is the first 10 miles going east from Lake City towards Ouray? Is the road decent or as treacherous as some of what I'm seeing in other videos?
@Colorado4x43 жыл бұрын
@@catsincredulous9998 the road is pretty good going out from Lake City. It seems to take a while to build and it’s not as “Shelfy” as coming from Ouray. I’ve got an older video of my buddys 1972 Bronco and I think there is some footage from the Lake City side. The Lake City side is definitely less treacherous.

I saw a guy on a video say there were planning Imogene in May. He needs to see your video lol. We did the Loop in 2017 ...I think...and the snow was just like this. It was amazing.

My wife and I were eloping on an Avalanche Debris Field at the Maggie Gulch waterfalls while this was being filmed. I'm pretty sure the loop was still closed somewhere between the Eureka Mill and Animas Forks. The avalanche damage in the area was the craziest I've ever seen that year. It looked like a giant footsteps through the forest.

We probably passed you on 550 in our jeep, we were there the whole month of June 2019! Snow everywhere and most trails were either closed or only open on the east side. One of the road crews told me there was 100ft of snow pile on the west sides.

Looks perfect was concerned about booking so early in June but I’d take that view over a bit of cold hands

Did you not stop to read the sign that was face down in the mud at 3:14? Curious as to what it said.

It's hard to judge terrain on a video, do you think this road is possible for a stock Tacoma?
@D0bRoman4 жыл бұрын
I think a stock Tacoma would be fine on this road. It was not much more than a gravel road when we were there last June.

@@D0bRoman Thank you for the reply. I want to get off road, but nothing serious until I have some more miles on the truck and some of the newness is worn off :)

@@D0bRoman if a stock tacoma can make it, could I go with my Toyota Corolla? 😅

@@AaronSilvaMusicOfficial I took the road from I-70 to the Gray's and Torreys trail head about 10 days ago. I was driving a crew cab long bed Chevy Silverado 3500HD. It's a big truck with a lot of ground clearance. The road is significantly rougher than this appears, so I was taking it easy. On the way back down, someone passed me in a Kia sedan! So, maybe!

I'm sure you have already done it but a stock Tacoma will definitely do the Alpine Loop. We rent Jeeps and let them take the beating. The last time I saw a brand new black 4 Runner on it. Anybody saying a car can do it has never done the entire Alpine Loop.
