Julia and Charles are mirror images of each others personalities. Both unhappy and searching for love.

Nothing rubs me the wrong way when watching fabulously done period pieces than seeing the silly comments left by people whose ignorance is quite obvious in what they say. Like really? How can you *not* realize that styles change? They not only change often but drastically over time. Even if something is unappealing to you as a modern person who is basing your opinion off what you know as the current mode, certain things were once the height of every day fashion the way the tacky ass crap I see on the racks today is. No one questions it though because they're all just trying to keep up and fit in so they see popular as good. Diff't is bad. Personally, I'll take her elegant '30s suits over checkered jeggins and Uggs any day. My suggestion to all is that if you chose to immerse oneself in a period story, please open your mind to the idea of being in another era; that which is NOT your own therefore *different*. Just saying. Ignorance is a bad thing but this is good for you. You'll learn something.

Writing this in 2023 LOL 2015 jeggings were so tacky but by saying that, I’m also now a culprit of the same phenomenon

Once Sebastian Flyte (Anthony Andrews) left, Brideshead was hardly worth watching. None of the other characters were at all interesting apart from Anthony Blanche - and he wasn't in it enough.
