that's why i stopped playing rec basketball a long time ago, too many people landing on your feet, people with long nails cutting you, and finger jamming yourself on rebounds or steals. just way too many chances to hurt yourself for a tennis player

Tennis and basketball are my top two sports to play and watch. They've been my lifelong passion. Currently I have not one but two jammed pinkies 😅 from playing bball - and I'm about twice your age. I'd say Volleyball is the easiest non racquet tennis cross over sport. I love playing three and four a side v-ball. As other folks said rec B-ball is just too chaotic unless you played and kept playing at a solid level.
