I have seen a few American high schools attempt haka and fail miserably screaming, stomping, poking their tongues out and slapping their elbows just for the reaction all while yelling some random gibberish. So credit to this team for taking the time to learn from one of our very own. If I was to offer a piece of advice for future teams if you're reading this is when you're on your knee tapping the ground with closed fist, always keep keep looking forward. Dropping your head and looking to the ground is a sign of weakness and you also cannot see your enemy also no need to rush it, learn the meaning of every word and make it count! I do have one question for our Hawaiian family: You all have a beautiful and fierce culture as well... what were the chants/dances etc when preparing to go to battle? and why aren't these being performed?...
