@@arthas640 (I know this reply super late, but) The few times dedicated weapons have been mentioned in the show, they seem to imply that they are relics and symbols of an earlier age. considering the "average" violent encounter in Equestria normally involves insanely powerful creatures and magic users, a black powder field gun (on wheels) would seem awkward and contrived. The relative lack of conventional melee and ballistic weapons may also be due to a lack of hands to hold them. Nearly all of the dedicated weapons in the show seem to be made for anthropomorphic users (bows instead of crossbows, swords instead of "bit" punch daggers, etc). This, along with other oddities like shoes modeled after ones meant for feet instead of hooves, suggests that some anthropomorphic species or culture without powerful magic influenced equestrian culture, then got wiped out or simply fell into obscurity. It is canon that the griffons were more advanced and sophisticated in the past, but it was never stated just how long ago that was, or how quickly the decline happened. It could be that the griffons were more involved in equestrian history than we thought.

The picture tells a story. The story: The dead unicorn probably was about to revolt against Starlight glimmer and her town, before he died, but then Starlight Glimmer heard of this, and shot the unicorn in the head, clearly killing him. The witnesses whom were the friends of the dead unicorns, have mixed feelings, some mourn him, while the others are either glad that he died, or don't care about what happened.

I think that the level of horrific control Glimmer had over the other ponies in that town shows that severe consequences for stepping out of line were applied to very small misdeeds, such that it was all but unimaginable that anyone would go against her. Draw some parallels to real life and how people have had their lives destroyed for no good reason. The fear-induced domination over an obedient underclass population is the desired outcome of any parasitic power structure.

I don't think the premiere had anything to do with communism lol ^^ It was rather a message on taking on the challenge of accepting each other's differences in order to reach true Friendship, even if it's hard to do sometimes. Equality doesn't mean communism, yes - in a Communist regime it is stated that everyone is the same, everyone is equal with no one higher then anyone else, but it also states that everything belongs to the community. In the S5 opener, It's been a while since I've watched it, but I do believe atleast one time one of the equalized ponies did comment that it was 'Their' shop, or 'their' home, which states that the shop or home is not communally owned, which means while everyone is equal, its not that they are equal on the sense that no one is different, its more that they are equal because no one is superior (Which is something Starlight believed cutiemarks granted)

It was definitely a form of socialism. But more than the distribution of resources (which is a prime component of communism), Starlight's town was marked more by its authoritarianism. She could have had _any_ ideology; the important component was her absolute, uncontested control over the town's inhabitants. And the song is kickass btw.

Starlight isn`t a communist. Communism means worldwide revolution and it`s not what she did. It`s somethink different, not even the same as Stalin`s "socialism in one country". It`s more like theocracy or some cult I think Also communist state isn`t some gray terrible place where secret police haunts for opposition. No, no, no, no, no. It`s a beautiful place where everyone uses whatever state has for free (cause money don`t exist there). You can study, work, explore or do art - it doesn`t matter if what you want exists in state.
