D23 Predictions 2024! What Will Disney Announce & Will It Be Real?

D23 2024 is just around the corner and in today’s video I talk about some predictions and rumors for what might be announced at the parks and resorts panel. Will it be a year of excitement or another of blue sky ideas.

For Disneyland they will also talk about the new parking structure (boring but phase one of Disneyland Forward). As for Magic Kingdom, Radiator Springs would be better in the Animation Courtyard in Hollywood Studios (or Zootopia). I hope beyond Big Thunder Mountain will be Coco and Villains. I wish Disney would focus more on EPCOT updates (a new Spaceship Earth, Inside Out in Wonders of Life, and an Imagination refresh (with Figment). As for Tropical Americas in Animal Kingdom, I’d love to see a nature trail, too (like in Asia and Africa).

People don’t take the tube to Disneyland Paris. They have the Eurostar which goes from the UK to France and connects with Disneyland but it’s really expensive compared to flying

Don't we already know that DLP is getting Galaxy's Edge AND Arendalle among other things in their Studios "park"? I was there last year and they had the concept art EVERYWHERE on the construction walls inside Studios

@@dayoldbread1696 Not sure where you are getting your information, but that's not likely, given the fact that the Ancient Sanctum area is separated from the future E-ticket expansion plot by a wide guest pathway connecting Avengers campus to Cars Land. I find it hard to believe that Disney would demolish a guest pathway or build a new bridge over a guest pathway just for the E-ticket, when the main entrance to that attraction has always been shown in concept art to be adjacent to the existing Avengers Headquarters building.

@@kentslocum sorry I should have mentioned it’s just a rumor. But the same person who originally posted it also pointed out that Disney could easily re route the path from cars land to the other side of the sanctum. It’s also the only area of the campus that Disney changed on the newest concept art. So if it’s not the e ticket entrance, maybe it’ll be an exhibit or something?

Disney can announce anything they want. The company actually following through with their promises is a completely different story. I really am not interested in D23 because the announcements have proven near meaningless.

Exactly Disney makes so many promises they don’t keep, that’s why I rarely get excited anymore because there’s a good chance it’ll either get budget cut to hell or canceled, or take 8 years to build it

If it’s just another blue sky concept arts presentation with no announcements then Disney is done for and Universal is taking over. Avengers campus is so inferior compared to bugs land it had way better theming

Excellent video, appreciated the waves in the background. Felt like one of those super chill hangouts that are just a pure vibe. Also the switch of positions for different park clusters to talk about was a cool idea that worked. I will say, Katie hit the nail on the head at the end... How well will they execute any of what might be coming? I had my first visit to Disneyland in many years recently. It was incredible to be back in such a familiar place. Yet, the way things are, the issues are real. 3 rides broke down on me, including Pirates where we waited so long, we didn't get evacuated until after the park had closed. All my last minute plans were just...gone. Matterhorn had square wheels, lol. Another ride I really wanted to try was closed early. After that, I don't have a need to go back for a long time cause that took away from any sense of "magic." I'm not from Montana which thank goodness, Imagine traveling that far to have all that happen. So with D23, they gotta knock it out of the park and have shovels moving ASAP. Show care into the product, Don't let things slide and be in the mindset of..."it's good enough, most of the time" I looke at Epic Universe, I see vloggers visit other Universal Parks and think... oh man, they are having the time of their lives with ease. Universal is showing they appreciate my dollar. Disney has felt more like.. we are entitled to your dollar. Given the unfortunate and annoying anti-Disney atmosphere, it serves their interest to not keep playing into that. Announce something, Build Something and as best as you can. Remember what Magic will mean to the average person. Business wise, remember magic will bring financial success. That loyalty and nostalgia that was earned over the yearsis precious but limited in these challenging days. Make it worth. I hope everyone is blown away by surprises and Boldness. Maybe it's not the most important thing in the world, esp lately, but it sure is a great thing to have things like this to distract, comfort, and just have fun with. Disney could latch onto what we all want and lead us into something special. Alas, tho, I will keep my expectations low key. Dylan had some very intriguing thoughts on unique ideas that do make a ton of sense.. Lion King.. It just makes sense. Crazy to think that there isn't something like that already. Also, Paris.. goodness, it really is crazy to think how long they've been the forgotten child of the chain. At the same time, the idea of the Asian parks being the R&D for everything else was super interesting. Yet...it may well be the case as those parks and their recent additions are next level. I'll have a hot take and say, I don't want Tron at Disneyland Resort. It's super cool for sure, but also super short and I want something more unique. A new coaster, absolutely, but look at what Universal has done with new coasters including very family friendly ones like Hagrid that are big experiences. Also looking at Epic Universe.. Yes space is an issue, but I can dream can't I, lol. I have heard that Frozen Coaster at Hong Kong is also quite short unfortunately. This is Disney and I just want those E tickets to be truly immersive and extensive E tickets given the technology available now and the cost it can be to go to these parks. Ah well, we'll know in a few weeks if they are rising to the occasion or punting again. Also, I'm so there with their view on cruises. They look kinda cool but, but being trapped in a floating hotel is not my cup of tea. I want action and being out there. Anyways again, great video, great views. What an office, lol.

Avengers Campus is barely okay if you include GOTG. Overall the grade is incomplete. Sucks that even Dr Strange is leaving. I think the Campus fails where Disney is skipping on the E ticket ride and reducing the characters in the land. If they delivered what they promised Avengers Campus would be a very positive experience

I like Avengers Campus well enough. I am disappointed to hear that they’re scaling back live character interactions there. That was one aspect that section does really well. You can’t turn 45 degrees without seeing some photo op with a Marvel character. Also, I try to keep in mind that that section isn’t aimed at me, a 52 year old kid. It’s aimed at like 8-16 year old kids. In that regard, it seems successful. Wooo! My Boo Dylan lookin snazzy in casual beach wear. Hubba hubba!! 😍😍😍😝😘😘

Also no offense to those who do like the campus but avengers campus is pretty terrible, so that e ticket ride (assuming it turns out to be decent) could save the campus from being completely terrible

I enjoy Avengers Campus, it is good, but it has so much more potential to be great. As for Bug's Land, It was cute and I never had any problems with it, but I never did any of the attractions there. I am not excited at all for Avatar at Disneyland, but I am sure it will be really pretty at least, and be well done. I am okay with it as long as they build it in the Disney Forward expansion area and don't try to cram it into Disneyland proper. I know Tron at Disneyland Resort is nothing but a personal blue sky for me, but that would be exciting, even if they design an entirely new attraction for us out here.

My prediction: At D23 they'll talk about the 70th for too long. New fireworks, WOC, logo, maybe a parade. They'll mention Tiana's. They may bring up the Avengers E-ticket vaguely again but I think it's dead. They may be rethinking Marvel in the parks altogether but they wont say that. I think the big news will be concrete plans about Avatar with artwork and a model and exact location. Maybe a fourth hotel connected to Pandora. Tomorrowland will not be mentioned at all.

Avengers Campus is just so... weird. It's not at all clear what it is supposed to be and how we are supposed to feel there, as guests. Architecturally, it's a hodgepodge of industrial/vintage (old brick walls, faded retro sign painting), "modern" (well, as modern as a modern mall or office building, nothing very imaginative), and then the garish pastiche of Mission Breakout tower. What they need to do is: 1. Bring some fantasy and imagination to the land. More vehicles, props, thematic elements evocative of movies, and Marvel's rich comic book history...take us beyond the "nearby mall" or "office park" feel. We expect more at a...theme park! 2. Harmonize the architecture by toning down the Mission Breakout tower colors and details to mesh better as the visual backdrop behind Avengers Campus buildings. Create a stronger overall impact by uniting the disparate elements more. 3. Add a banger of an e-ticket. Cosmic Rewind is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. Do NOT put in a simulator, even a moving simulator like Peter Pan in Fantasy Springs will feel redundant with Web Slingers. We need actual adrenaline thrills. 4. Improve the transition from Hollywood Land to Avengers Campus... that view of Mission Breakout from Hollywood Land is jarring. Put a building over the street with tunnel portal below, and put an old Hollywood billboard on top to block the view of the tower until after you pass through the tunnel, for a "wow" reveal upon entering Marvel area.
