Another great video. A general youtube complaint (not about the video) but an ad that played in the middle of the video was for selling items on a website for real world currency, and apparently youtube removed the ability to report or thumb down ads, and that's an instance that they need to put it back in there.

The first, last and only choice for Barbarian helm (unless you are building an IK Barb). All my Barbarians that have completed the game on Hell Difficulty have used this Helm (the one I found with crappy 3% life steal went to my Berzerker Barb). I usually have Larzuk socket mine and either put in an Um Rune (some would say a Ber Rune would work but I prefer to save them for Rune Words since they are so difficult to get).

gold find barb and singer barb use different hats. They are both niche I guess.

I know my luck is not great playing some times because I have a level 86 Barb going and I'm yet to come across Arreat's Face while I'm playing as that Character. Your're right about that it hard to come by ggm. Good call.

one of my favorite items. when i first played seriously in my late teens i came acrossed it and went "woah this thing is clean" i went on to make a solid monopoly board game version of daiblo 2 that i still have in my closet to this day. and the community chest/chance cards, one of them was "Arreats Face" with some stats on the card for fun. i forget what that gave you. maybe get out of hell free card lol idk

a lot of these exceptional items were the top gear in 1.09 so that's kinda why they are harder to get then at char lvl

I could maybe understand that for these, but all exceptional level uniques are poorly placed on the drop table for their level requirement

I paired a 6% with BotD, BK ring, and String of Ears which gives me over 30% life steal. Pretty great for a hardcore character.

It's been fixed in d2r, I don't know it it has been fixed in classic lod. But there used to be a little known bug with arreats back when elite upgrading was a ladder only thing, so very few people ever saw this or ever did the math to see that it affected them. Ethereal arreats when upgraded to elite retained its exceptional item defense range and only "upgraded" the requirements to the elite version of the helm. It only happened with ethereal ones, nonethereal upgraded just fine. Imagine the disappointment of finding eth arreats, getting the runes together, upgrading it, getting ready to slap a zod in it, then seeing that you essentially just downgraded such a rare helm.

Andariel's face and Guillaume's face are two good options for a merc act 2. But I think Arreat's face is more designed for a barb or act 5 merc (barb)

Pretty much all barb players know there are very lol helms that can replace this bad boy, only a throwback imo has a different helm, wisdom 😆 most people don't know 1 point in str is 1% Ed so this helm has natural added damage, atk rating, resistances, fhr skills, etc. Do not upgrade this helm unless u have at least 195 strength naturally, really the only chr that upgrade this is melee vs melee in pvp

Same thing with the phase blade, yes it has a high dex requirement, but that translates out to high block chance

It's funny how lil stats can affect thing so much in this game, like people not knowing how to get super high atk rating on melee chrs, which activates a sort of ignores target defense in a ways, still got 5% to miss but I'll almost 95% of the time hit even Ubers

I feel like it's not even a matter of the droprates being messed up, but more that the lvl. Req is far too low for such a good item. It has everything you could want.

11:51 You ar not putting the %MF high average, according to Barb stats. On Normal, Barbs can have From/To 360%/510% Magic Find. on NM, that statistic increases by 50 to 320% those. in Hell however, the MF is almost redundent.

Anything passed 200% has severe diminishing returns anyway, doesn't matter too much. But I am usually doing magic find for the level of the item. So at lvl 42 when you might be searching for this item how much magic find do you think a lvl 42 character has?

Most people don't know what to use the barb for specifically.me personally I like making a zerker for Trav and stuff and go super unique hunting with highmf to get rares to drop more, rare items can get super godly stats when ur high enough level and hitting the right ilevels monsters. Some prefer uniques to sell some like specific stuff like jewels, rares, bases, etc. Pick your flavor of barb imo. There the best mfer in the game imo. 600+ mf makes a GG rare finder

@@Cornholers only ever able to play normal level 41 online ladder to 360% MF myself Chaos Sanc. though ppl go cow, and I not OP to survive, no good armors, always magic, and I did not have a point of sale for socketed magic.

@@andrewlanglois6362 reason I loved it back in 1999- 2003 when the game was king is it was a new way to interact with people online, items that actually somewhat make sense to use over d1 items etc ya know. Mainly pvp was my thing. U can never make a perfect character in this game, runewords only take you so far. I have seen rare weapons that even outdo grief by a mile 😂

38-42 is absolutely reasonable for nm diablo. It's only lvl 40 for nm Ancients, 50-60 you're getting ridiculously overleveled from being boosted in Baal.
