Had Ire and Razorswitch drop in Act 2 NM with my 'zon during ladder. Its always been an incredible item sought after by Chroma'sorcs. You can use it in melee, just enchant it; which is generally what Chroma'sorcs choose, over Fireball. - Chroma'sorcs use the same conventions as spec builds, but all three. Tough to build; totally worth the effort and this staff is were it begins. 😊 - Totally worth upgrading this to an Eldar and put Ondals on switch for when you get blood cursed. 👍 It needs to be said, I don't think you can build a Chromatic wizard in D3. At least, not to the same effect. Perhaps because there isn't anything like Ire in D3. Just one of the very niche things that kinda fell off from one game to the next.

Great video as always! My guess for the maggots is that the artwork for a few of the unique staffs like this one is borrowed from the Staff of Kings artwork. Which is found in the maggot lair so the art team decided to make the staff literally out of maggots

Still can’t understand why staves are so poorly balanced in comparison to one handed options with a shield. Staves, in order to be balanced; should offer more of an incentive to use them by offering more resistances & skills than a weapon + shield combo in exchange for the lack of protection a shield offers.

Long story short: spirit+spirit is far easier to get, and about 4 times better.

Spirit + Spirit is not possible until lvl 58. This item is lvl 35.
