Can you please do a video of a scenario where a lease commencement date is in the past (for example, Jan 2022) and 12 months have passed with manual monthly entries without using Asset Leasing module, and you wish to start using the module then? How can one set up the lease so that the schedule properly shows only the remaining periods of the lease, with correct amortization amounts? Thanks.

Here is an idea: • Close out the current lease asset and liability that you have in the books. • Create a new lease in the asset leasing module for the 24 months that remain, matching the payment amount, let’s say $90/month considering the same example in this video. Interest rate would remain the same. • For the start date use 1-1-2024, given that 1-1-2023 through 12-31-2023 transactions would have already been recorded. • May need to adjust FMV and/or useful life to make sure the lease does not flip to Operating and remains Finance.
