Honestly I think Wonder of U is my favourite Villain Jojo Stand. The idea that the MOMENT you even think about going after Moment of U, Calamity strikes you. @@zrethor It escalates upon your intent and the context of the situation for "pursuing" and whether or not you are pursuing his stand or Tooru himself. Questioning the Head Doctor's existence and presence may lead to a calamity, but one less deadly compared to thinking about harming the Head Doctor. If you pursue Tooru instead of the Head Doctor/Wonder of U, the calamities would be much more severe and powerful, as seen when Jobin looks at the security camera footages and notices Tooru hiding behind the trees before Jobin trips on his own blood, the Locacaca pot pressing a plastic tube deeper into his heart, killing him. Yasuho also went against Tooru's words and called Kei Nijimura to help Josuke, which resulted a calamity where an escape door unhinged from a flying plane was falling down towards Yasuho's location. Tooru also stated himself that the calamity would reach it's peak form when a person would end up pursuing him instead of his stand.

Trying to fully understand the flow of positive and negative energy/miracles and calamities in the SBRverse has always broken my brain a little. They're both such dense, thought out concepts to the point where you *really* need to soak in every piece of information. When it comes to explaining how they work, no dialogue is throwaway. I only really realized somewhat recently that Wonder of U's ability isn't insular, it literally manipulates a pre-existing force in the world to protect the user. I honestly do really dig the concepts of positive and negative flow in the SBRverse in general. They feel like a more unique and interesting version of fate in the original universe. Fate in the original universe was interesting in its own right, but this take on it feels more fleshed out, and it's not as rigid as suggesting that characters' actions are pre-determined.

What you said about Wonder of U's calamities prioritizing one person at a time is not true at all! Calamities can happen to multiple people at the same time, but there is a "priority" target. Although, it's more towards the intensity of calamites upon such subject. The priority target would be placed first in the order of calamity, meaning that they would basically become the next person to die in the universe altogether. When Yasuho was placed first in the order, Josuke was still experiencing calamites alongside the Higashikata family, and Kei Nijimura ended up dying to a calamity after Yasuho had been placed first! So no, what you said wasn't true by a second, and if you had actually read JoJolion, you'd know this. The others who are in the flow of calamity who are not in priority will still experience deadly calamities, but the calamities experienced by others aren't necessarily "immediate" compared to the one who's first in line to die.

And in my defence, I didn't enjoy reading Jojolion the first read around and didn't focus on the more minute details: might need to give it another read. But even if what I said was wrong in some ways, my argument still has a bit of reason. If there is a priority target during a calamity, they will be affected the most. Given enough clones, even if it is an AOE (eg. deadly rain), one will eventually get close enough to WOU/Tooru. Their attack probably still won't land, but I think if we're talking about an actual all out battle, even WOU might be overwhelmed by the sheer number of clones.

They would have no knowledge of WOU, and think they are getting the users just to make the president happy. He'd pay them, bribe them, whatever else, (probably bankrupt the US but whatever) and send em to die to see if they can beat WOU. Eventually he'd find someone like josuke who ends up winning against him. Even if he doesn't, rock humans are not immortal, and can live for (going off the wiki here) around 240 years. As valentine ages, he can bring in a younger version that stays safe in love train. Even if neither can directly harm the other, valentine can outlast him indefinitely.

I'm glad that I've found this video discussing this topic. When I was reading JoJolion and figuered out how Wonder of You works I realised that fight between those two top overpowered stands in JoJO would be a completely disaster to the rest of the World. Wonder of You would commence calamity towards Funny Valentine while D4C Love Train would redirecting all of calamity attacks towards random person on the world. It'll be a fight based on probability because I think that eventually one of that attacks would be redirected towards Tooru and that would be the end. However probably dozens of people or even most of the humanity would be dead becuase of that figh. Just something amazing thinking about it in the world of fiction - Araki is pure genius to make us use our mind to think about that!

I will argue that Johnny did not died because of calamity. He was explicitly saying good bye to his son in his last moments. So Johnny knew that he could transfer the disease unto himself, and that is what he did. Also, George getting the disease wasn't really a coincidence. Just like the manga states: "So removing the disease carried the meaning of exchanging the disease for something of equivalent value", and for Johnny his son and wife had the same "value". Meaning that George was the only target the saint's corps could use.

Realistically D4C and Love Train is a much more useful stand. D4C helps you freely travel between dimensions and causes any kind of crimes without any consequences at all while love train deflect all bad luck thus making you essentially immortal. I'd argue that Wonder of U would win. While it does fall underneath "Logic", logic in the JoJo-verse supersedes miracles as we can see Johnny try to fight the Calamity (and fail). We can also see that Wonder of U exists as a constant in the universe, not belonging to Tohru as more a manifestation by him. Even if we ignore Araki's statements that this is the strongest villain, Go Beyond is a special case. It is less infinity and more the abstract of logic. One can understand the idea of infinity and even then Tusk Act 4's infinite spin is still limited and can be countered (as shown with Alternate Diego). However, Go Beyond is something that doesn't exist nor can be measured, the counter of logic being something that doesn't actually exist. With this in mind, if the miracles of the holy corpse and Johnny's abilities weren't enough to circumvent the calamity, I'd say Valentine would lose as he'd be fighting an uphill battle against a passive enemy - a force of nature that overpowers anything that isn't an equal or absolute force. Most likely, Valentine would just cause massive death on such a scale that he either gives up due to killing off America by proxy and karma or the Calamity is able to find a way to kill him through a seemingly harmless effect that Love Train does not consider to be positive or negative.

OM's Single Attack Theory would have it that Johnny Joestar and Tusk Act Four did beat Wonder of U. The 'spin' causes all the events of Jojolion including the creation of Josuke Higashikata and eventually results in the defeat of Tooru and Wonder of U. That said, it's also stated that Wonder of U isn't really a Stand - it *is* the Law of Calamity, and Tooru has just adopted it as his Stand rather than truly possessing a Stand himself. As such it seems more akin to Ball Breaker in Part Seven, which is also a Stand-like entity affiliated with a universal force, and which is also able to bypass Love Train.

Valentine is dead as soon as he gets Aggressive, Calamity does not stop until the Target is dead, no matter if Tooru is dead or not. So Valentine had to keep Love Train up forever, which even if he could, would hinder him from living. I think in the End Valentine would simply give up.

Magicians Red wins against White Album since range, GER slaps S&W:GB. Dio from SC or PB? If first, he wins due physical stats, if will be a bit smarter. PB Dio gets slapped. White Album defeats Oasis, but it's interesting, how it can work. Like, Secco transforms anything into liquid or something like that, Ghiaccio freezes, so can he transform into ice... Road?
