D5-Evo - Setting the gate limits

After I did the tutorial is it not supposed to give me a limit set successfully or failed message. Now it's show no limit set and doesn't want to operate automatically.

Had a mktor that opened and the completely refused to close.. I have a gate that weights close to a ton. Can't move it front or back.. lifting the gate with great difficulty changed that. You saved me while drunk at 11pm. And saved me 350$

Can you set up the end-stops 1 and 2 manually? I.e. I will just pull the gate manually, stop and tell its computer to record this location as an end-stop. Then I do the same for second stop.

Does an electrical current pass through the end stop to the motor or something? I blocked the end stop with a rock so the gate doesn't open too much and now it's failing this process

Hi Andy. Thanks for the feedback. Whilst the video concentrates on the electronic procedure of setting the limits, your point is well received and it may have been well worth mentioning that. I have since added it into the description of the video to read "Before proceeding please ensure that gate stops are securely installed and the gate is positioned half way between opened and closed.".

Check if your magnet is responding when passing by the motor,if it does not produce a clicking sound it shows its not positioned well...

HI there, I discovered it my was battery that was at fault. I have replaced the battery and the limit settings seemed to work. But now, after setting the limits (according to the instructions here) the gate closes halfway and then automatically opens again immediately!

I've tried everything from resetting the limits to resetting the system. After the limits are successfully set, the gate opens halfway then closes.

Hi, Please help When setting up a new D5 EVO limits, the gate goes slowly to the open position, the wizard says it is finding the first stop, then simply stops. It will not reverse to find the next limit and then the message on screen changes to Centurion systems, D5 evo waiting for Co-processor. then it says WAIT 1 MINUTE OR RESET ALL POWER and the screen goes blank and returns to the setup wizard

+Edwin Kalimadola Hi Edwin The error indication signifies that the sensor is not receiving a valid pulse from the gate-mounted origin magnet, or the controller is not receiving a signal from the sensor. Possible causes could be: •• The distance is too great between the origin sensor and the magnet •• The magnet and sensor are mounted at different levels •• Incorrect orientation of magnet •• The gate is getting stuck at a certain point before the magnet has passed the sensor •• Faulty origin sensor Solutions to rectify this include: Check the information screen on page 65 - it should display the position of the magnet (left/right) when the magnet is passing the sensor •• Ensure that the magnet and sensor are mounted at the same level •• Ensure that there is an audible ‘click’ whenever the magnet passes the origin sensor •• Ensure that the arrow on the magnet is facing the operator - there should be a repelling action when the magnet is brought near the sensor ••Move the magnet closer to the origin sensor. •• Replace the origin sensor If you need any further assistance please feel free to call our Technical Support Call Centre on [phone]
