Hi bro Melos, so basically before you dive in to D5 we need to apply basic materials 1st in SketchUp right?

why have you put white plane?

Basically it acts as a shadow catcher. What it does it adds extra information for the renderer. Bouncing off of a white plane it adds a lot more shadows and extra detail in the render making that white plane darker will reduce the effect hope this helps :)
