I wish Alan would have been strong enough and hired a good lawyer to reverse the previous lawyers "work". Judith is always finding new ways to mess him up. She deserves to be homeless and destitute in every possible way.

I think realistically he couldn't afford a good one. I just think he should've gone with one of the the lawyers Evelyn offered.

@@boulevard14 Actually, based on the money he payed after his divorce, he could afford one, he was just to cheap to pay for one (and maybe delusional that he is not really getting a divorce). He could have still taken Evelyn's offer if he really didn't want to pay himself for a good one.

For starters, a very good lawyer doesn't adopt a "take no prisoners" approach. Will fight tooth & nail, but in a smart way. Sets case up in terms of "win/win," but the outcome favors you.

Many make the mistake that the legal system is corrupt it fixed. The vast majority of judges & attorneys (private & government) are pretty fair. Ultimately the issue is: do guys get a fair shake in family court. The vast majority of the time is "yes."In California (location for TAAHM), two concepts run through the system. One: it is a domestic property state. Anything earned during the marriage is split 50/50 in the divorce settlement. In reality, in many cases things are negotiated (buy outs), subject to Court approval. Two: if children are involved, their best interests control the settlement. Stay single & wear a raincoat. Otherwise, hire a good attorney.

@@jackkraken3888 A good wife does not cheat on her husband. And a good mother doesn't cover up for his drug manufacturing husband under the pretense of protecting her son. what exactly makes a lawyer a "good lawyer" arent court cases supposed to be based on truth and fact? what stops a normal everyday lawyer from being the same as a "good lawyer"

what exactly makes a salesman a "good salesman?" arent business transactions supposed to be objective and based on an accurate valuation of a good in return for monetary gain? what stops a normal everyday salesman from being the same as a "good salesman?" some are just more efficient at delivering facts and selling statements, just as some salesman are better at negotiating prices.
