D6 Evansville MX Harescramble 5/31/20 START Part 1

First Harescramble of the year since COVID outbreak. Felt great to get out there! 32 OA Morning and C Open 8th. Would have won Cvet if I ran my normal class. Maybe next time!

This was my first hare scramble a few years ago. Wise decision to start in my 40’s lol. It was round 1 so about 25°. Permafrost everywhere. People down everywhere. Including myself lol. Did lousy which was expected. I couldn’t feel my hands they were so numb. It was fun but that course is clapped out otherwise. Whenever I end up getting another proper dirt bike again I’m gonna have another go at it. Nice pace you had here

super delayed comment, but i’m sitting here watching old Evansville hare scrambles to get ready for this weekend, that was me in the orange gear on the Husqvarna that got the holeshot! I think I ended up winning that race. awesome track!

I am thinking I might try this hare scramble thing. Complete beginner. Is Evansville a good track to start at? And I’m 33 so should I start in the C Vet class or should I stick to C 250?

Love to hear this man! I started last year and started in C VET and i'm still in CVET. Started riding dirt only 2.5 years ago. So, if there was anyone more inexperienced out there it was me and my buddy on his drz400. Go for it! CVET is a good place to start and Evansville is open enough as well. How long have you been riding?

Sneaky Deaky I’ve been riding since I was a kid, but have about a 10 year gap since I’ve had a dirt bike. My 7 year old is racing Motocross now so it gave me the itch again. Just picked up a KX250F last month and want to give woods racing a try. I used to ride single track a lot when I lived in Florida around 10 years ago. We don’t live far from Evansville and the boy races Supercoss there often.
