Welding on some wear strips for a D61px idler. Lots of good time lapse on putting the track back together. Not a really long video or a lot of talking just doing.

That gentleman you’re working with doesn’t seem like he’s has to much to say, but he really looks like he knows what he’s is doing. You were talking about how handy a boom truck is in a previous video. In your line of work, it is not just handy, it’s an absolute necessity. Good job.

great video. Nice work my friend. I need a crane truck like yours. It makes everything so much easier. I am sure a cake decorator would find a use for a knuckle boom truck..I just saw clamps that are ell made just like your friends' at Harbor Freight.

Thanks Mathew. Oh it was all Mr. Lee I’m still pretty green when it comes to heavy equipment I know the agricultural field decently well, but earthmoving is a different story.

those strips used to be high in manganese for komatsu and caterpillar flat track dozers. I used to pre heat the strips after tacking to 300 degrees or so then post weld heat treat to slow cooling rates ( to avoid future cracking) .

Noticed comment on brands of rod. Excalibur is good and also esab which used to be alloy rods. Lincoln bought murex which is good but not finding them right now. Good rod is paramount. Got that line from the girlfriend. I think she is still searching 😆

Those are Lincoln Excalibur rods they do pretty good they quit selling my favorite brand years ago which was a off shoot of Lincoln they were called fire power. The manufacturing must of went overseas they’re not worth a crap now.
