Pond took 3 days to complete, first 2 days with both dozers running 11 hours each per day. Third day was finishing touches on the dam with D6C. Moved 3600 yards including core trench, in completed dam, with 8 inch spillway pipe. Water depth of about l2 feet when full. Pond was designed with drainage area of only 5 acres above it. 3 sides of pond are 3 to 1 slope. Upper end is 4 to 1 slope. Used 8 inch PVC w/ anti seep plate made of 5 ft. square rubber ( inner tube type material, but flat w / large hose clamp to seal it. I would suggest PVC for the pipe instead of steel as it doesn't rust.
