Takes about 20 minutes for the turbocharger to heat a can of soup to the perfect temperature for a quick jobsite lunch. And I no longer have to carry a can opener in my toolbox, with the new poptop lids!

Has your transmission ever locked up on you 6c my brother in laws has. The tracks will not roll, the winch on the back will slide both tracks. Got any ideas on what is wrong?

I used one of them to level a spot for our new church and the clay dirt made the job much tougher for that Cat D6. It was borrowed from a company who donated it and the fuel, and hydraulic fluid to get the foundation ready. I loved that Cat so much and treated it like it was mine. I saw this machine bow up while scraping up dirt to level off some spots. We got it done and the machine was sent back the way we got it.

Soup was hot, 15 - 20 minutes is about right. Pond measured a little over 2800 cu. yd. for the dam and core trench. Took about 40 hours to build w/ 8 inch pipe and 2 inch pipe for stock water tank behind dam. Would suggest a larger dozer than D4 and be sure to check weather forecast before starting construction.

Nice work with the D6. How big of pond and how long did it take you to move that amount of dirt? I'm looking to make a pond and in the market for an older D4 and would appreciate your experience and opinion. Thanks and how was the soup?
