Impressive video and amazing flying. I used to fly a DA40 CS but I never flew it like that! The DPE for my Private Pilot check ride suggested an aerobatic flight for the experience and fun, now I see why.

I'm not a Star owner, but its nice to know that a pilot can get out of spins without pulling a chute and destroying the aircraft and risk killing oneself in the process unlike the Cirrus.

entering spin,,,opposite stick? never heard of doing that,,, using full back stick is the norm i use

This is not a flight training maneuver. Opposite aileron aggravates spin entry. This is flight test technique. these guys investigate the spin characteristics of the test aircraft. They have to go beyond what is common in order to get a good idea of the flight envelope and ensure that even in non-standard entry the aircraft is recoverable.

I believe the original DA40 had issues with the instruments toppling. No idea why the NG isn't though.
