This sound like a cheap Timbaland and Pharrel mixed beat..C'mon Nottz, you can do better!!Why all these top producers falling off?Its not the late 90s early 2000s anymore, this beat and song outdated..Sound like sumthin Talib Kwali or Black Thought supposed to be on..The song aint bad, neither is the beat, but its not all that good either.Just keeping it 3000

What is actually currant now days?!, I here what your saying @Young Hitta. Listening to folks like Illmind, Symbolyc1, Kanye over the years how they’ve transitioned from the old school boom bap to a more modern / current feel, though the majority of Kanye fans prefer his old work rather than his new. For me, this type of BoomBap hip hop still has its place in 2020. As a beat maker myself, I can’t say ai’m a huge fan of the more up to date stuff but would never cancel it out as some of it’s dope, so I dabble from time to time giving the old school boombap a bit of the more 2020’s feel. Nottz however, doesn’t really seem bothered - his moto.. “ We Boom Bappin - not Trapping, over here’’.

@@rockerz658 Good music is timeless, but you have to modernize your sound up to date, but still hold the hip hop integrity in the production of your beat making.Pharrell is the master of that.I feel like Nottz doesn't care about the money or conforming and evolving his sound to catch these millennials ears because he stays true to his art and definition of real hip hop..Which i understand, but if you want to do it to make more money and become successful in the industry, you have to evolve your sound with the current times, but with your same moral, integrity, creativity, and signature...But if you don't care about the money, then yeah, you can make whats perceived to be true hip hop music and still make records all day long. And its its nothing wrong with that.I don't like half of this new music ..I still listen to Pac,Biggie, Reasonable Doubt Jay Z,AZ,Raekwon, Ghostface,etc...But if i was a producer that wanted to be successful,i understand that that sound isnt IN anymore,so i would have to take the magical sound and rawness out of those eras, and mix it in with the new...Not to cater to the new era,but to catch peoples ears to let them know boom bap started everything...
