I liked the first apartment. I personally think it is well priced for all inclusive. Plus it's not expensive to live in Vietnam. What ever makes you both happy then thats all that matters.

@ Hi Richard and Karen, We are well thank you….both excited as we are off to Sanur next week, only for 10 days this time. I hope you both find a lovely place, apartments living will be so different for you after your lovely villa in Sanur with your private pool! We’ve not been to Vietnam yet, my mother died while on holiday there a few years ago….. we’ll visit there when I’m feeling ready to do so. We often think of you and how we enjoyed meeting you both……it was like meeting celebrities! xx

Unfortunately there are no retirement visas like there is in Thailand. So many people say Hua Hin is a great place to live. My wife and I thought they would go there or Chasing Mai. We were quite surprised it was Danang.

The first one is nice but i feel it’s too expensive for Vietnam. I would work with a few agents in Vietnam not just one. The second apartment is a no-go! I’d be trying to look at regular apartments not hotel style apartments. I live on the beachfront in Vung Tau for 11 million a month. My apartment is a lot bigger and has high ceilings.

The thing I did not like about Vietnam was that they do not recognise IDL from Australia. You have to get a Vietnamese licence. We find that we need scooters so we have the freedom to move around where we want to. I know the Grab’s are cheap but they add up and even in Da Nang, things are spread out

Thank you for the video. The rates seem to be expensive, even for Da Nang. I wonder if you were given foreign prices....usually a 1 bedroom is about $150-$300, 2bdrm is $450 to $700, etc. Most HOUSES can be rented for $700+.

Back in 2019, a one bedroom used to go for US $500 to $700 per month. When we rented there our agent said don't bother with those high rises, only Vietnamese will show those. Our agent was from South Africa. Far too many people living on top of each other. We paid US $400 a month for a brand new studio apartment.

@steveth1000 We were there last year and the early part of 2024. We had a 2 bedroom with Wi-Fi and housecleaning twice a week for $450...and that was in the Expat/An Thuong (29) area. Many Westerners think $1000 for a 2 bedroom is a good deal, but then if they accept those prices, they skew the entire market and everyone will soon be forced to pay those prices.
