I'm looking at places to move my parents for their retirement. They have their heart set on Pattaya Thailand but I thought that they should try Vietnam as an option. That's why I'm so happy I found you. This looks like the perfect place for me to make my bass so that I can explore and learn more about great places to live there in Da Nang. Since there's no way to actually pick your brain and have a conversation this is the next best thing. Thanks for taking the time to share your experiences.

They would have to do visa runs every 90 days in Vietnam. No retirement visa in Vietnam. Thailand has a retirement visa.

If your parents are USA I think you can get a 1 year visa in Vietnam. Or it will be visa runs ever 3 months which is either £130 with Lynn visa each or cheap flight to Thailand for £80 and was 3 days to a week for Vietnam.

Thanks for commenting. Vietnam is incredible for low cost. Loads to have for £10-£15 a night budget or you rent on a monthly basis. Rentals start from 7.5million with 1million -3million for bills and expenses. So £350-£400 a month.
