Agreed, technical constraints inherent in broadcast sound engineering would virtually require bands to do "playback" of the basic track with only the vocals (and possibly lead guitar) "live" for such an event. Certainly, though, the absence of a cable on the guitar in the age of wireless technology really doesn't mean what it used to before the advent of the submini radio module.

They are a great band but I think if anything, it would be the other way around. A lot of Scandanavian bands took a piece of "The Final Countdown" which is the best ever Scandanavian released album of all time. Maybe even the best Glam/melodic/AOR/Hard rock/Melodic Metal release of all time.

"Look at the guitar at 2:30. No cable." Never heard of a guitar with its wireless transmitter built in? I've seen them, and have seen the charging jack for self-contained NiCd batteries mounted where a conventional signal cable would normally connect. KISS had been using wireless technology since 1976! Incidentally, I'm a guitarist and guitar/amp tech.
